I tried to read up on this, but nothing seems to address editting what channels show up.
There is the edit per tuner in the config, but after unchecking some of the boxes, they always come back.
I tried to edit the guide xml file, but I still see the channels in the list.
What am I doing wrong? I want to get rid of a few channels I never watch.
I noticed that if I put the machine into standby, when I wake it up, I have to hit the user icon to "login". When I do this gbpvr is visible, but does not have focus. So the remote doesn't work. I have to use a mouse to click on it so I can use the remote.
Is this normal? Do I have to set up a remote button as a click?
Or is there some trick in windows to fix this?

Is anyone else having a crummy time with this? I know I am having a not so good time and I haven't even gotten it into GBPVR yet, I was actually hoping it would be as simple as; install, change setting in config and let it go but no way.
First mine didn't come with a manual in any form just a quick start guide, not even a pdf on the disc.
I haven't checked to see if perhaps hauppauge owns ArcSoft now but thats the only programs on the disc I can't complain that the old wintv software was any good it just worries me leaving a third party company for base support however as I'm here it doesn't matter too much
The real issues start with actual use of the Device, Its not a hardware passthrough device as you'd expect it. Although it doesn't seem like what comes out is the compressed stream, if the box doesn't understand whats coming in nothing comes out. Also there seems to be some kind of tie in with SPDIF audio, if it isn't working the picture won't come through at least it seems so far.
In non review terms so far I've had a terrible time with getting the device to show video. First was with a VCR it wouldn't work less I started a video a few seconds before tyring to access the device, if I fast forward or reverse too much it looses lock and doesn't retrain I have to close and reopen TME capturing preview.
Second is at home My U-Verse box has never given me an Issue outputting video to my TV but to this box it seems to go out all the time or it doesn't understand it if I'm using SPDIF (with and with out beta 5.1 drivers) and after I had it working, disconnected it and reconnected it later it was a pain to get working again!
The box freezes all the time and I have to power it off and back on.
Perhaps most of my problems are that I have a 350 already installed and didn't uninstall it first but I'm saddened at the passthrough even when not connected by usb.
The construction is a bit... cheap, specifically the rca jacks they aren't secured well so when you plug on in it puts pressure on the other, seems like there is a plate coming off a PCB right behind the back and is not secured to the outer structure at all.
This is a nitpick but I've never been able to throw something at ffmpeg (video wise) that it couldn't handle! I tried to trans code a 720x480... aac file and it spat out tons of errors abut something in the video structure not supported. This is something I can overcome with research and trial and error and maybe an update but it was a surprise to me! On the flip side the program they provide with it is good, takes more than one file and you can tweak the results the only problem is that its slower than most and your output is limited out of the box to types of mobile device formats.
Anyone have this info? I was using a Moto 2500 for SD recording without a hitch, but recently upgraded. The 7100 isn't responding to any of the Moto codes from Hauppauge setup. If anyone has this working, I'd really like to know which code set you're using. Thanks
I've tried a couple of versions of the Music Plugin, without success. It appears to install without error, until it starts MusicScanner.exe. It fails to find my MP3's and reports an "Unhandled exception".
The Music.db3 does not contain any tracks, so unsure what to try next as it won't continue. Restarting MusicScanner.exe continues to fail with "Unhandled exception" when I force the scan to start.
I am having a problem with viewing channels other than TV3 w/ AC3 on NZ Freeview.
I am using a Hauppage HVR 2200, with the cyberlink H264 codec, and have a vid card which supports hardware decoding. The cpu is not much over 11% when viewing these channels.
The problem is that when i change channels, the audio stutters, with constant dropouts. I am in line of sight of both Kaukau, and Baxters knob, and signal strength doesn't appear to be the issue.
I am using Monogram AAC 0.9.5.0 and it is set in the config to use the decoder.
This is most frustrating - what can i do to help identify what is going wrong?
It seems like if i press 'live tv' that the audio will work fine. Stuttering only occurs after i change channels.
I have just formatted my computer after a virus attack. I have reinstalled my Vista operating sytem. I can't get GBPVR to install and register all the filters. I thought I read about this being an Administrator issue but haven't had any success getting this corrected.
Some Starz titles (eg: Under Seige 2) have a new, higher bitrate option of 3600 Kbps. Although the plugin's config screen does not have this option, it can be enabled as the default download by editing config.xml. I will be adding the option for the next release.
Search for <NetflixPlugin> and change the <DefaultBitrate> option to "4". PVRx2 will need to be restarted for the option to take effect. You should complete or remove any partial downloads before making this change.
Note: This change will cause an error when opening the plugin's config screen so you should change it back to a value from 0-3 before opening the config screen for the plugin.
My gbpvr install has been running very happily for months now, so I thought it might be a good idea to add in missing logos using the logo tool.
It seemed to work but when I ran gbpvr config after to change the channel order I got an installer popup looking for the gbpvr.msi file. It went back and forth on this installer before I finally got the config window.
Now my installion is very sick and slow, and I feel sick too thinking about how much work I've just destroyed.
Has anyone come across this before? Is there an issue with 1.2.13 and the logo tool? Can you wreck an install with logos? Is there a set size or format (jpg, png etc?)
Hello All ... First let me introduce myself. I've been a PC / Internet guy for about 15 years now, and finally took the plunge & built a HTPC. I'm using it strictly for ripped DVD's (my 3 kids have coastered many disks and trashed two players) so getting it all on hard disks is a good thing.
I'm running PVRX2 and MovieWiz manager in Vista Home Premium, and must run MovieWiz Manager "as Administrator" or it doesn't load properly.
I've been reading a lot about PVRX2 and MovieWiz. I've ripped one of our disks (Hoodwinked) and in MovieWiz against the main movie folder, including subfolders, structured like this:
x:\movies\dvd-title-here
It found Hoodwinked, loaded info and cover, and I was psyched. But now I can't get PVRX2 to see that data. I've been through the Wikis, followed the steps, but something seems to be missing.
Does MovieWiz automatically push that data over as soon as it finds it? Do I have to export it and then import an XML file into PVRX2?
Under "Manage Content" all of the info is there for this movie. I haven't checked offline (not sure what it does). While I created thumbnails, I deleted the entry, reimported and stuck with the recommended box cover.
I see buttons for Export Entry, which fails saying Hoodwinked metadata NOT saved ...
Export All ... says 0 successfully exported.
And there is a checkbox for one file, not checked.
I have seen the XML created and basically its an empty node with no data, so nothing seemed to have saved.
Up top near the << < > >> nav I tried "Save" but that didn't seem to do anything.

If this helps, on the settings tab, the "Add Content" all are checked except IMDB AKA lookp
For extensions it says .mpeg;.mpg;.avi;.mov;.iso but I'm using DVDShrink to do the rip. I don't know if this is a problem, as it did find the info & was able to look up the right film information.

I hope to rip 200 or so movies onto the box, and let the kids (and grandparents) flip by cover, pick a movie and they'll be good to go.
Am I missing something? Am I doing it wrong? Is something just not working right?
