Hi,

I am using the MCE2005 IR blaster to change channel on my set top box. The problem Im having is that it only works sometimes. I can not find any logical reason to why it should stop working. I can not find anything in the logs either. The solution to get it to work again is to restart the recording service. Am I missing something fundamental? In the attached PVRX2.exe.log I have towards the end of the file marked two occurrances where the first one is not working and the second one works.

I just finished building a machine to run gbpvr.
Used the latest installer. Did a full update.
Running windows xp sp3
installed directx 9, power dvd and xp codex

On a 2 gb, 2.53 ghz duo core with a 512mb graphic card.
installed 2 haupauge(sp) 2250 cards.
Got the guide to work, got it running so I can record 4 channels.

Anytime I try to play or "watch" a recorded session, it gives me a black screen and it hangs. Doesn't do anything. Live tv did that for a while, but I did the live tv preview.

I only have one of the cards hooked up to cable right now as I am just testing.
I verified that if I record all 4 channels, only one actually recorded anything though. I figured 2 would.

The main bit that bugs me is the playback hang. I have to end task gbpvr to get that screen to go away.

Live tv did that, but as I said, the checkbox in config fixed that, so I get a blue screen and I can go back to the menu.
I can't control which card I am using, so I am not sure which tuner it is pulling from. I will pull a card or disable it to test that soon.

I added the tags for the 2250 so it is configured, but I took all the defaults.

What did I miss?

There are currently two main ways that most apps display EPG. The GBPVR method is to show a time window of a few hours for all channels. I'd also like to be able to click on a channel name in the EPG, and get a display of that whole day's channel listing. This idea is shamelessly stolen from http://www.tvguide.co.uk who do their channel listing like GBPVR, but also allow you to get a whole channel listing by selecting the channel name in the left-most column.

I'm wondering what is the resolution because I want to match the full screen resolution of the gbpvr main menu to my game emulators resolution so everything is the same.

Maybe by matching resolutions, I can stop getting these direct draw errors when I try to open up a game emulator from gbpvr. Gbpvr currently will only open up a emulator provided gbpvr is windowed, not fullscreen. But not both gbpvr and the emulator fullscreened - well, provided if having different resolutions is the problem.

i select fullscreen in the gamezone plugin, you still have have to press alt+enter manually.

All other emulators go to full screen no problem provide the main gbpvr app is windowed, not fullscreen.

I'm trying to setup IR Server Suite to work with my MCE remote that I got with my Hauppauge 150 card. I imported the gbpvr.xml file and now I'm trying to setup the STB remote codes. But when I got into Learn IR Commands and click on NEW and then put in '1' I don't have a port to choose, just None. Any ideas?

Using GBPVR with Twonky Media, and a Philips Streamium 300i.

Recordings made using the Compro Software display in 16:9 format full screen on my TV.

Recordings made using GBPVR are in 16:9 formet but there is a 3" black strip around all sides.

Any ideas?

When I try to access the settings option from the front menu of GBPVR (version 1.2.13), the settings menu flashes up for a second and then it just bounces back to the main menu.

Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?

I've been searching the forum for a couple of days and I have not found a solution. I have two questions:

First here are my specs - Using version 1.2.13 (just installed; had to rebuild PC). WinXPPro. 3 tuners - 2 PVR150, 1 HVR1600. All installed and working. Set 1600 on Device #1, one 150 on Device #1 as well, and the other 150 on Device#2. No skins and/or plugins (I like to get the basics working first). Can record on all 3 (analog) and play them back. Also I have comcast digital. I have one line and then split it into 4 (1 each for the 150, and 2 for the 1600) Here are my issues.

1. Cannot watch live TV. Live preview checked in config and recording directory set. When I try to watch, either directly from the main menu and/or from the TV Guide, it does nothing but exit back to the main menu.

2. Cannot digital map. I can receive digital channels on a digital TV with no problems. (straight through cable without a box). I can see and scan all the HD channels on WinTV so I figure that the card (and its drivers) are properly installed. From config I have 4 devices, the 3 analogs, and the 1 DBA. I have the EPG populated on all devices. When I click on the "map digital channels" I receive the following unhandled exception: Method not found 'Boolean nativeutilities.bdarecorder.servicelsencrypted(int32)' and config crashes and closes.

Tried the following fixes:
Downloaded and applied the the new GBPVRTSMon.ax as suggested in one of the threads. Downloaded and copied over the naitiveutilites.dll and the qam.ini. Filters were reapplied. All to no avail.

I am hoping that you may point me to a next step - a solution would be welcomed as well . Thank you.

My EPG isnt setup and I was reading thru the directions/plugins. Which is the best way to go for the US? I would like to have good search capability. I search for kids movies and record those mostly Thanks
