Is there a way to tell the program to NOT fetch data for a particular series? I download all info but there are three series with Episodes.xml files over 10 megs that seem to eat most of the time: Long running series Sesame street, The Young and the Restless and This Old house. Is there a way to skip these?

and edit the following
Skin.xml
MovieInfoPopup.xml
simply change the values or replace the text
For community skin navigate here:
C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Skin2\Community3\MovieWiz
and do the same as above
how do I go about deleting double entries in the recorded database without deleting the actual file. If necessary, I am happy to delete one or both entries.
I been using searchwiz daily and it is the best plugin to find shows that are on next hour or two.
I used to use the plugin to plan my day in advance and loved the list of categorized movies an shows that I could record that day.
However I lost this feature a while ago and have just been using the one hour and 3 hour ahead for searches since I could never get any listings up if I searched for whats on today.
I am guessing the search us using all my 1 gig memory however I used to do these searches when you designed this cool "whats on" feature.
TIP "For those unfamiliar with what I mean" - open searchwiz and put a single blank space in the search field and select "one hour ahead"
now you will have a list of all shows starting next hour. You can also use your categories so you can have only movies or sports lists starting next hour.
You can change the hours to match prime time etc.... It is a very cool feature than many have not used.
I notice on a new install searchwiz will not let you do these searches so you have to open up the settings in config.exe and add the space in the search field.
I have been using MVP with Transcoding of AVIs for some time now without any bother, so I know it is not a set up issue. But this morning I can not play any file that requires transcoding for more than a few minutes.
If I start a movie it plays fine, and if I look at the output mpg it grows fine, sometimes up to 30 mins, although has been as low as 5 mins. The MVP however will stop playing the file and reboot. I have seen many posts but they seem related to setting up, whereas my has been working flawlessly.
Any way I have looked at the MVP exe log and the iportant part pasted below:
I am sure this has been suggested before as well, but.....It would be great to have a simple conflict resolution capability in the EPG. I think it would work best in the Program information screen after trying to "Record this episode." Rather than just tell you that the recording failed in red at the top of the screen, it could tell you which episode was in conflict. The best scenario is to let you work out the conflict.
For me, It would also be helpful in the Episode Search screen of the EPG. It let's you know which shows you attempted to record had a conflict, but does not tell you which shows cause the conflict. A simple listing would be ok, but I would rather have a way to work out the conflict right there. This is one of the "icing on the cake" issues for me. Everything is working great, but this is just about the only thing that causes me a bit of grief here and there. I have seen conflict resolution in other prog's, like media center, but theirs is sort of complex. I don't think it needs to be that way, (although I am sure the programming is not easy.) Simple is better.
Again, that you are able to do what it is that you do is simply amazing to me, so thanks. I have 5 kids and this program really helps me control what gets fed into their volatile little minds.
First of all I must say thanks for a great software that have really matured lately and it's almost perfect. There are a couple of minor wishes I have and I'm sorry if it's something that I've missed that already exists.
1. Option to confirm channel change with OK. I use an IR-Blaster so channel change is therefore very slow and it would be nice to be able to cycle between the info popup for the channels with up/down and then just press OK when you find a nice channel. I know you can use the miniguide but this would be a lot quicker and would save me from the complains when someone tries to zap furiously.
2. Warning when exiting any form of timeshifting. Again mostly to stop the complaints.
3. Prompt for resume more unobtrusively. For ex: Play video in the background and only offer a small âresume?â button on top that goes away after 5 seconds unless you press OK and then it resumes.
4. Better mux option if you have clients using streaming. The cyberlink mux works OK but skipping and searching in the videos isn't always correct.
5. Back button on program info popup in miniguide on livetv exits both program info and miniguide at once. Miniguide in watching recordings or video behaves like it should and exits only shown program info popup and not miniguide.
All talk is of using external plugins for dvbviewer, or mediaportal... but what if this scanning could be built natively into gbpvr to retrieve the EPG information automatically?
