Anyone care to recommend a good mpeg editor so I can clean up some of my recordings (trim off the pre/post padding and commercials) and archive them to DVD?
GBPVR 1.2.13, finds DVB-T channels and live EPG ok. No picture preview, No live TV, no sound.
Next move, I might try to play a DVD movie.
Might try a GBPVR re-install with all virus and spyware protection turned off.
AverTV works ok (but CPU overloaded on DVB-T). Have tried GBPVR with TV card drivers and with/without AverTV application.
System:
Avermedia Hybrid Speedy DVB-T PCI-e card
Asus EN8600 video card.
AMD Athlon 64 +3500 CPU. 1GB Ram. 250GB HDD.
Win XP Pro SP3.
Have MS VCRedist x86 installed.
Have .NET 3.5 installed. Tried .Net 2 before installing 3.5.
Have DirectX installed too.
Must be missing something or doing something stupid!!
I have a HAUPPAUGE HVR 850. GBPVR is not recognizing it. I thought I read somewhere that it was a similar configuration as the PINNACLE stick. Can anyone provide any more details?
Have the Antec Fusion v2 (the one with the LCD & IR). Got the IR working a long time ago using the iMon software to capture the remote codes and turn them into keyboard commands.
I played with the iMonVFD plugin (which works just fine with the LCD dll), but this requires you to disable the iMon software, which means no remote control.
So has anyone gotten both the display and the remote working on this unit? If so, please share.
Has anyone manage to get this to work? My time warner HD DVR is a Scientific-Atlanta explorer 8300HD. I have a HDMI cable going from the time warner box to my HD TV. So i'm using the component out from the Time warner box to the Hauppauge HD PVR. But when I start the HD PVR i get no picture it's all dark and grey, i don't get any channel information.
can mame32 be used instead, I would assume not but what about roms that seem to be directed at use with Mame32 are they any different than the ones used for MAME?
Assuming the open sourced software provides easy access to the display hardware, this might make a nice alternative GBPVR platform (especially at that $99 pricepoint). Have to wait and see what exactly the software is capable of though :-)

I've got the Hauppauge remote that comes with the 1250 card and it works great. while it's working. occasionally the remote just quits and I have to grab the keyboard, exit PVRX2 and use Hauppauge's restart tool. Is there any way to figure out what's going wrong with the remote?
Has anyone else seen and been able to fix this problem?
I often need to stop recurring recordings temporarily when I am traveling because I will not be able to watch them and then delete them as usual. However, the only way to do it now is to cancel them, and then recreate them when I come back. It would be nice if there is a suspend/activate option where recordings do not have to be deleted. The system will still be needed for other functions (movies, radio etc) during the time the recordings are suspended.
I would like to be able to use a wildcard when setting up a reoccurring recording.
ITV in the UK has an annoying habit of using titles such as "Formula 1 Grand Prix of Singapore" or similar which obviously does not get picked up by GBPVR. But if I could do "Formula 1*" that should catch them all
I appreciate it is probably a lot of work for little gain, but thought I would throw it out there...
Maybe with F1 coming back to the BBC next year it will hopefully change...
