Hi Group,

I'm looking at components for a new High Def HTPC and came across the Intel DG45ID Media Series MB. It seems to have everything I need, plus on-board video with HDMI and DVI outputs. Looks like a good solution at a reasonable price, but I'm a little concerned about the built in graphics capabilities.

Has anyone used this MB for with GBPVR?

I would also appreciate any other recommendations for a next generation system.

I'm really into UFC and I have 5 different UFC shows regularly scheduled on my pvr. All of the shows have UFC somewhere in the title. Is there a way to create a batch file or something to automatticly move all of the files with UFC in the title to 1 folder named UFC on a regular basis, instead of having 5 different folders for all the shows?

Rescently updated to the new version. I like the little bars that tell me when a program has been watched, however I would like to be able to remove them if I descide I need to watch something again later. Is there a way to do this?

Hi I am a new gbpvr.

I have a vista pc with a hauppauge hvr-2250 installed. WinTV works fine. I have updated the dba.ini to include the hvr-2250 and am using the schedulesdirect tv guide. I followed the directions to configure the hvr-2250 in the capture sources tab. When I 'map digital channels to epg channels', see a list of channel names and the scan found several channels which I manually mapped to the channel names. In the preview window, I see the tv playing.

But when I attempt to run pvrx2 and select LIVE TV, I get the following error:

No tuners are available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes.

What am I doing wrong?

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRghhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm going up the wall.


My old P4 gbpvr server is now too central to our home and great trouble would arise if it died. It's also a touch slow for HD stuff - So, I'm building up a replacement and will make the old one the spare.

I had an Asrock mobo and got a cheap P4 Pentium D from ebay. All went well and the machine was built up with the software etc, with the hardware to be nicked from the old machine. S3 standby was working perfectly.

Some time later (about a month) I acquired a Core 2 duo E6400, also from ebay. Installed and noticed a great improvement with HD.

BUT - S3 standby no longer works.

It is only tonight that I have pinned it down to the CPU making the difference, by swapping back and forth.

There is so much stuff out on the internet about S3 problems that it is difficult finding information out of the noise. But I have a feeling that XP may be involved with the root cause.

I anyone else has noticed this after an upgrade, I'd be grateful to hear.

When looking at recurring recordings, it would be nice to see which shows in the guide data match that recurring filter, and which of the matching shows are actually scheduled to be recorded vs. those that match but will not be recorded due to higher priority recurring filters or specifically scheduled programs.

I envisage selecting recurring recordings, then selecting a specific recurring recording then selecting a button on that screen that produces a list of the matching shows in the current EPG, each of those shows being marked to indicate if it is actually scheduled.

I need a new card for ATSC/NTSC and I want one with a Media Center Blaster that I can use with my DirecTV box. I already have a Hauppauge 1600 and I am using the IR reciever that it came with my Logitech Harmony so I don't need to recieve channel changes. Will the two IR recievers cause a conflict?

Hey,
I've got the live TV to stream from my server to my clinet, but no matter what mix of decoders I use or what channel I try, the playback is always jumpy. This client is connected via wireless, which I know isn't supported, but my main wonder is that the wireless connection isn't being maxed during this time leading me to think that maybe something else is at fault. Both the server and client aren't maxing CPU usage either. I have tried with a wired client, and while it did play fine it was still jumpy, but this most likely is because of decoders. So while this does suggest it's the network connection, my origonal point remains, why isn't the wireless being maxed out.
