I'm using the Logitech diNovo Media keypad to control the software. The same button controls Play/Pause, however I can't seem to get it to pause the playback.
I think it treats the button as a standard 'play' button, and will not recognise the pause function. any way around this?
Got a GBPVRX2.Popups.PopupBase object, that processes a "Close" button correctly, and then after dealing with the button in the with the UiSimpleList.CommandCallback.
I then Deactivate the popup, in the hope that I can use it again. But on the next render, or keypress the HandlePopupCallback interface method fires again.
I've found I can null the popup, but figured there might be another way that means I wouldn't have to re-create the popup.
I've been using my old Sky dish with a NOVA-S card for a while with no problems. The only disadvantage is that it's only a single tuner and occasionally the ends of programs get cutoff when switching from recording on one channel straight over to another channel. However I am looking at getting a UHF aerial installed primarily to allow me to watch primeTV via a PVR-150 but also to hook up to a NOVA-T 500 to give me my multiple tuners.
My question is does switching to DVB-T open up a whole can of worms for me to do with hardware decoding of the HD stream or is there a SD stream as well:confused: (I just want to make it clear that I realise my SD tv is never going to magically become a HD tv. But can I take the HD signal and downgrade it to my SD tv?)
I have an Asus M2A-VM HDMI motherboard with AMD 690G Chipset which I understand can't handle the HD signal(?) I've been doing some testing with an indoor aerial (I live in very good reception area) but I'm not sure if the signal is the problem or if it is the hardware. I do have a passively cooled GT8500 card I foolishly rushed out and bought but the heatsink covers one of my PCI slots (why didn't I get the PCI-e HVR-2200 instead??? arghhh!!!) so if I do need to use the graphics card for DVB-T then I'll need to upgrade the mobo to handle my 3xPCI cards. Anyone have any ideas? Any mobo recommendations for AMD chip?

Buildning a PVR for the first time. Have finnaly picked out what equipment i will be using.
P4 3.0, 2 gig ram, Geforce 6200 has svideo & composite, probably use the Svideo out, soundcard is older Soundblaster live card. Two Hauppauge WINTVHVR1600 Model#1183 that come with MCE remotes (want to record 2 shows at same time). Havent yet got all the parts so its not built yet. Windows XP pro, can get Vista Ultamite if needed.
Will be useing standard analog Cable TV (no box, Time Warner cable) How do i get a programming guide thats free? I have seen a program called MSN_XMLscraper and also GrabberGuidexmltv. Do i need any of these to get a programming guide for analog TV shows? I dont have any digital channels just analog cable TV, no box just a cable coming out of the wall. Oh yea iam in the USA if that makes a differance
If i need one of those scraper programs i just install one of those and when setting up GBPVR i just tell it to use the scraper program for the EPG during setup.
One other thing,, about the remote control. If i understand it correctly the MCE remote that comes with the with Hauppauge cards only work for basic controls? What controls are considered basic?
A few months back i purchased an ASUS P7131 Hybrid, with the pupose of using the digital side of the card to watch TV. The software delivered with the card was rubbish, so i turned to GBPVR for the solution.
Today i did a format of my computer, and wanted to install GBPVR again. However, after mapping channels, entering PVRX2 and choosing "Live TV", i am shown the following message:
"No tuners available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes."
It leaves me with 1 option; "Dont watch TV".
The odd thing is, that the channel manager scanned for the channels fine, and could even preview audio (altho not video).
I've tried rebooting, restarting the recording service, and re-registering filters.
I am using the DVB - S epg from freeview in NZ and as of the start of daylight savings, the programe times are wrong. For example it says that One News at Six is from 5.00 - 6.00. This caused me problems last night with recordings starting 1 hour earlier. My PC clock is correct (updated for NZDST) and I have emptied my EPG from the config but on reloading it just comes back the same. Any thoughts?
Generally GB-PVR records fine for me, but sometimes I get zero-length files instead of a recording.

- Vista
- initiating recordings from recurring settings in the web interface
- my own postprocessing.bat to do videoredo, but the problem is before that (I put a DIR command into the batch file and can see that on call to this, the file is zero length)

I don't know what this "second chance" means ... and the programme is probably about 2 hours long so the call to the postprocessing.bat is at about the right time. Maybe it's successfully rerecording but messing up the file operations so I get the failed one not the right one?

I also noticed this but it may be unrelated (is it something I have to fix also?):
During recording PVRX2 process spikes in CPU usage every 12 seconds. It will go to 90%+ which bring total CPU usage to 100%. OTA ATSC signal via HVR-950.
GB-PVR v1.2.13/ Compaq Presario 2100US laptop/2.0Ghz Celeron/ 512MB RAM(64MB of this for Video) Recording to an ext. hard drive thru a USB 2.0 PCMCIA adapter. I understand this unit is not robust enough for playback, only attempting to record.
Long version/additional background.
The laptop described above is 5.5 years old and I wanted to replace with a desktop. Rather than just putting this in storage, I thought I might be able to put it to good use in some way. Began thinking about Mythbuntu but was hesitant to make the leap to a new OS etc., as I am still using this laptop for some daily applications. Wife has a 1 year old Toshiba but usually keeps it busy. Soooo, download and installed GB-PVR, we fought a few skirmishes, and I beat it into submission.
The unit does seem to be able to record HD OTA signals. CPU usage between spikes runs 20 something %.
I have since purchase a desktop w/o monitor (HP a6528p w/E2200/3GB RAM/500GB HD/Vista Home Premium 32 bit.). It is able to record and playback using VMC( I have it connected to our 1080P TV). Recordings made on the laptop via GBPVR play on the desktop and look good between the spikes and then break-up and judder during the spikes.
I can't get the Diseqc going with this card at the moment; I'm still on 99.12 as I'm using an XCard as well. The diseqc does work with other software though (I know these BDA diseqc controls are buggers, as my last card worked on GBPVR but not the other software I use!).
It definitely is the Plus version of the card, so I just wondered if the support was already included in that release. I've reinstalled since my last set-up (new motherboard too), which was controlling diseqc with my previous Twinhan card, but I don't remember there being any fixes or patches I had to install to get that working originally.
If it wasn't supported back then, would updating to a more recent release with the GBPVR.exe still included make any difference?
