I am using Daemon tools to play my ISO's.

I always get a windows message "invalid device" before the ISO is played. Has anybody found a solution to fix this message?

Hi, I've been using GBPVR for a couple years now but in a unconvential way (I suspect). I'm using it with an Nvidia DualTV card to ONLY capture VHS tapes. It has worked well up to today when I upgraded from XP to Vista Home Premium and updated GBPVR from 1.2.9 to 1.2.13 (1.2.9 would not install under Vista?). Anyway, I'm now having the exact same issue discussed in this other thread:

I even looked in the logs and also see divide by zero errors. I did what I could based on this thread, but since I'm not tuning anything, there doesn't seem to be much that applies to me, apart from check that I do have enabled channels and my Recordings & LiveTV directories do exist.

In the logs I also find this "GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information."

The way I have my capture sources set up per the attached screen captures. This setup has worked and enabled me to record from VCR as a manual recording since I started using prior versions of GBPVR under XP. But an EPG...no, of course there won't be one (I even said there wasn't one in the setup). Past versions gave me a Guide, albeit a blank one, and live "TV" without complaint.

Did something change from 1.2.9 to 1.2.13 or is this related to Vista? Any other ideas? Logs are attached at the bottom since I see they get asked for frequently...

Iam able to start telnet on ISTAR but not GBPVR.. the screen shows black and after some time it returns to normal ISTAR screen.

First; I hope my poor english writing not is the biggest issue It`s not my stronges site

My first, and biggest problem is;
When I reboot my computer, I`m loosing sound at all tuners. The only way I have solved this issue, is by starting all tuners with other software (BeyondTV).
I hoped this problem would solve itselves with the newest release, but not.
I also hoped installing on a new disk, with new OS would help, but not.
Have tried out all kind of different settings in config, no help at all.
To create the right logs, I have to reboot my computer. That is something I can`t do today...

Tuner cards: Hauppauge PVR500*2 (totally 4 tuners).
Motherboard with integrated sound, MSI K9N-Neo
OS: Win XP home


I belive I have all the filters - and some more - nessecerry.


Second problem:
At the new installation, I only can record at 3 of my 4 tuners at the same time. This was earlier a problem with my old installation, but I made to fix this (do`nt ask me how....)

Third problem:
Sometimes, one of the tuners deliver som horiffic quallity at start (5sec too 20min). I`ve tried all drivers available, no help.
Perhaps the card have som internal problems, I don`t know (but I hate it!!!)

1 sec: like it is at start.
5 sec: a bit better, but still not normal.
1 min: still a bitt bad.
5 min: better, but colors not normal
normal: This time it took 17min before the recording was normal.

Please help me with these issues :o

Hi, I'm having problems with the Pinnacle pctv 70e not getting recognised. I'm sure the drivers are bda compliant. Does anyone know how add the drivers manually.

I am trying to install GBPVR, without EPG. My tuner card, a Compro Videomate S350 satellite card appears in the capture source list in configuration, but when I go to the tuning assistant to set up my channels, my card does not appear and I can proceed no further. Is there a way around this problem or am I attempting the impossible?

I'm a refugee from the Mediaportal world. When it works, its great, but more often than it should, it cracks and stuffs my MC. I then have to reload the image from recovery 2 (Gigabyte MA69 s2h, works well). WAF factor has sunk to a new low, so I have try something else. So far, GBPVR looks very promising. I've got the movie Library working, and it is very fast, most impressed! I have three tuners in my MC. Two (Avermedia A177) tuners are used exclusively by Web Scheduler Pro to do all my recording. The third (Winfast DTV 1000S) I use for live TV. I am quite happy to use Web Scheduler Pro to set all my recordings times (manually) and as such do not have any need for the EPG. But do I need it (EPG) to set up the TV capture card channels? So far, I cannot get any sense out of it. Sometimes it finds the ABC channels, other times Channel 7. I have 'EPG source' set to none. In the 'Digital Channel Mapping' dialog, it shows channel 7 running in the top r/h box, but when I exit the config program, and run GBPVR, Live TV shows just black. One thing mediaportal does have is an easier method of setting up the TV capture card, just scan and go. The method in GBPVR seems a tad convoluted, but then, I'm just a newbie, and stand to be corrected. Thanks for you help.

I just installed v 1.2.13 on a new computer. Everything seems to work fine except the tv guide. After a few seconds it closes unexpectedly. Any suggestions?
