I've recently added a NAS disk to my network, and moved all my music to it (so that it's available to other machines even when the PVR is asleep).

However, when I configured ML2 to use the network share, and told it to re-scan, it found no content. I then upgraded to the latest version of ML2, nuked the library and told it to rescan - still it found no content.

Does ML2 work with network storage?

I cannot get my Twinhan card to be detected, when you look through the list of supported cards, I would have thought that it would have come under PCI BDA driver device, but it doesn't seem to

When I use the tickbox to use the detected card in the sytem it just fails, this is a real bummer as my card work in just about every other software, but I would really like to try this out as it looks really good.

Any chance that it's going to be supported in the near future?

HI, I am using a hd-pvr with gbpvr. I have not been able to obtain any sound while watching live tv. The recorder generates h.264 .ts files. I selected arcsoft video decoder for video and arcsoft aac audio decoder for audio. I tested to make sure both video and audio work correctly in Arcsoft extreme theater. This was verified. I thought that I would have to select arcsoft for video and audio. Has anybody else experienced this issue. Your thoughts appreciated.

Would be sweet if there was a LED on my GBPVR box that lit whenever it was recording.

Just wondering if you require the A-110 to get audio through the HDMI cable? I am thinking of ordering a PCH and not sure if I'm ok with just the 100 or require the 110?

I'm planning on implementing a whole house set-up for PVR and media playback. I'm currently considering:
GB-PVR - Popcorn Hour
VMC/MyMovies - Linksys Media Extender/Xbox360
SageTV MC - STX-HD100 Extender

From all accounts, VMC/MyMovies+extender is excellent as far as movie playback goes. The problem is I've been spoiled by GB-PVR and I find VMC somewhat lacking as a PVR.

GB-PVR works great for recordings, but the default Video Library interface leaves much to be desired. Hence, the reason for this thread.

SageTV MC+extender, I haven't tried yet, but reading the specifications and features list, it looks like it can do everything I want it to. I'm considering this as a last resort if I can't get GB-PVR to work.

That said, I really want to get GB-PVR working. As a PVR, it's rock stable, has an amazing feature set (EWA, etc) and the most functional UI I've used. Alas, as mentioned above, the default Video Library isn't exactly the greatest. I've looked at MovieWiz but I've still got some questions on it, particularly using it in conjunction with a Popcorn Hour or PC client.

1. How does GB-PVR interact with the Popcorn Hour? Via streaming or file sharing?

2. What format DVD rips are supported by MovieWiz (.ISO or as VIDEO_TS folder)?

3. For pure recordings and media playback (no LiveTV), how well does Popcorn Hour integrate with GB-PVR?

4. Netflix playback on client PC and Popcorn Hour?

5. Is there a working YouTube plug-in? This one's not really important. Video quality on YouTube, well it's pretty much non-existent but the rest of the family doesn't seem to care.

I'm sure I'd still have more questions later, but for now, that's it.

Amazon just launched a Video on Demand feature. Wouldn't it be cool to figure out how to stream it through GBPVR?

I have recently installed MediaPortal and it is a perfect fit for what I need. TV preview works fine. However, when I record the TV video and audion are out of sync and the screen flashes every 5 seconds or so. Furthermore, my reording audio and video are also out of sync. I don't believe it is cpu problem as MediaPortal never gets higher than abou 30% usage. It is usually much lower. I am using a card that does not have hardware encoding, It is a Sabrent TV USB BOX 2.0. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you could stream videos from hulu.com and other sites. They are also working on netflix streaming. If anyone has I would be interested in hearing your experience with it.

Not sure if this problem is because my card is not supported and I am using my own graphs. It seems that the WDM drivers are not initialized when I first start GBPVR as neither preview nor record work. However, WINDVR came with my card and if I start WINDVR first, then GBPVR also works fine. To further test this I downloaded MediaPortal. It starts fine and again GBPVR works fine after MediaPortal has been used.
Can I somehow tell GBPVR to intialize, or is there any other way without having to use another PVR first?
