1. When watching TV (or maybe even in menu mode), a button would bring up your "Favorites List" . Pre-program something like 5 channels that the viewer would always go to... A related option could be for something to bring up the last 3 or 4 viewed channels...

2. Include Channel Numbers + Icon as an option in TV guide...

3. A way to edit the comskip file via gbpvr (maybe as a GUI), rather than have to do it in the Windows environment

I have had one machine set up as a client to the server with two ATSC cards for over a year and it has worked great for HD. Now I put a ATSC tuner in the client machine for live HD video, but when I do I can't access the HD recordings on the server.
I'm not interested in recording on the client. I just want a local tuner, and access to the recordings on the server.

Any clues?

Has anyone made a plug-in or tool in for the Hauppaugr IR Blaster. I want to send IR signals to my Plasma and Receiver. Happauge's software centers around cable boxes. I use the IRRemote.ini a lot to customize remote options and I would love to be able to use the transmit functions of the hardware.

I used Hip for receiving and it was slow and I'd rather not use it possible.

Is it easy/hard to set up MPEG/4 encoding to work through GBPVR? (I'd think it was a driver setting, or else the software will have to tell the card, 'Send me the signal as MPEG/4.')

Any pros/cons to this card?

And where can we get one? Newegg.com doesn't have it yet.

I have installed the latest version of GBpvr and managed to get it scan, well I have managed to crash (crash being the operative word) my way through the scan, and whilst scanning I have a preview window showing the current channel.

Once the scan is completed I can go back in as i I were to scan again but click on the the channel list, the channel appears in the preview window, so all looks good yeah!

Well obviously not because after doing all that I go into the main application and live tv for it show nothing at all but a message saying no signal how can this be??

I am attempting to replace media portal with somthing that's more stable is this the wrong way to go, it has to be able to do a server client thing and this does it seems

I am hoping than wnen this is up and running that it will indeed be a more stable solution, as good as mediaportal is, the TVservice is all over place crashing left right and center.

I have a problem from time to time when I hit the forward skip (>|) several times to skip several minutes. After hitting the button the second or third time, the playback keeps skipping and I cannot get it to resume normal playback. This happens when watching Live TV that is being recorded or watching a recording. The only way to stop it is to hit the stop button and then go back to watching it again.

This brings up another question. When watching a recorded program, is there a way to get to a specific point in it or jump ahead a large amount of time. I was watching a football game and this happened when I tried to skip through halftime. When I had to start watching it again, it started from the beginning and I didn't want to have to jump ahead one minute at a time.

Also, after hooking up my PC to the TV, whenever it wakes up, the screen display is such that only part of the screen is shown on the TV. I did not have this problem when using a monitor. I can only see about the top half. It is if the resolution has been changed and the new resolution won't fit on the screen. After rebooting the PC, it is fine until it goes to sleep the next time. It is not a GB-PVR issue since it occurs even if GB-PVR is not running.

I am running v1.2.13 on a 2.8GHz PC with an NVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB video card. It is hooked up to my TV (32-inch Sony) to the S-Video in.

I,m a Noobe so please bear with me
I tried to install a HVR 1600,but the drivers on the CD would not install.
Downloaded Drivers and tried too install,same Problem.
So I took the Card back,Maybe too soon.
From what I have heard all over this Forum,the card seems to be Good.
I don't remember the exact error,but something like can't install Drivers.
There was NO other TV Card drivers installed.
My Specs are.

Cpu Amd Dual Core 4200
Video Card GeForce 8600 512M
Memory 2048
3 Hard Drives,2X200G,1X120G
22" Wide Screen
I would like to Use a Dual Tuner Card,This card,if Possible.

I have the latest drivers from the hauppauge site (ver 4.2). I have edited the registry with the 150 timestamp fix. Everything I try doesn't work. If I do a 10 minute recording, it will come you over 12 minutes. Sometimes longer. Does my issue have something to do with the com skip settings. I have tried to turn that off.

Has anybody else had this issue? Most timestamp messages are with the 150. I'm trying to record with 1600 in ATSC.

just rebuilt new machine ready for gbpvr.. (win xp - sp3 on an AMD 5000 with Asus board) using nova t 500 card (that worked fine on my last pc).

downloaded latest drivers for hauppauge card from the web

when i hit the 'map digital channles to epg channels' button, i get the following error:
