I have recently installed a Hauppauge HVR3000 tuner (almost 3 weeks now) alongside my existing PVR150, now I can't say my frezzes and crashes started exactly when the HVR3000 was installed that would be too easy...
The crashes are almost always when watching LiveTV, so my question has anyone else experienced problems with this card?
My next step as I have tried changing drivers on multiple devices mainly video card as I found some ATI (9600Pro) errors in the event logs. I have also seen errors for .net framework complaining about PVRx2.
so thoughts, experiences and any tests or tools I can use to narrow the issue down would be great.
Our provider broadcasts DVB-T only in h264 with mpa audio. GBPVR 1.2.13 is recording shows successfully to transport stream. But is when playback these recordings. Sometimes longer recordings (ca. over 30min) goes audio and video out of sync about up to 5++ seconds, also rewind and ffwd produces sometimes out of sync and sometimes not. No difference when playing recording through GBPVR UI or WMP11 UI, still behaves the same. Is it GBPVR problem when recording shows or is it demuxer or codec bugs? Tried CyberLink h264 codecs, CoreAVC, Nero digital, ffdshow. The best result is with Elecard AVC codecs (but its trial and will expire soon). CPU power, network bandwidth and video performance is not the issue. Any suggestions?
I've been playing around with the Burndvdx2, to record some shows for some friends. When I play them on my GBPVR box, I don't get any audio in PVRX2. But, if I play the same DVD in WMP or media player classic, its fine.
Both bring up FFAudio to handle the play back.
I fired up graphedit. and they are different. I have included them as attachments.
I'm not sure where to go next to turn on the audio for these dvd's in gbpvr.
When viewing a DVD or video in the video library if I accidently hit the "Guide" button (I got fat fingers so it happens easily!) the darn live TV guide would pull up and would not go away.
I fixed it myself and thought I would pass it along . . .
I just edited the keymap xml files for the DVD and Video players. I just deleted the line that said:
<command name="DVD_TV_GUIDE" key="F1"/>
That keeps the guide from being activated when in the DVD and Video player.

nevermind.
I updated video drivers and adjusted everything to look better than ever, and the netflix movies were red and dark.
after some research, I discovered there is a conflict between wmp and some nvidia drivers.
moving the hardware acceleration slider in the wmp options to "half" seems to fix everything.
I have had my gbpvr living room setup running for some time (approx 1 year). As it is predominantly for my wife, I haven't really noticed any issues. I asked my wife if there is anything she would like added or changed and she said that several channels do not show up in the guide. Examples of this would be food network and Disney Channel. We currently have basic cable thru Time Warner Cable in Southern Wisconsin, USA. If someone can give me a walkthrough on how to fix this I am sure I can follow thru and fix all missing channels. I am using the Zaptoit EPG and it works well except for these few channels in the guide. Thank you for any help any of you can provide!

I've been running GBPVR for about 3 years now, on a Shuttle based machine with a Hauppauge 350 card. This card gets its feed from a SKY box (I'm in the UK), and I use and IR blaster so that the PVR can tell the Sky box which channel to use
I'm about to embark on building a new machine, in a nicer case, with more up to date components, etc, and I'm wondering about the feasibility of getting a DVB-S card which will do away with the Sky box - i.e. I can plug the feed from the dish straight into the card. Will the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S Plus (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/100017) do this OK? Will it also enable me to get HD broadcasts? And, will it work with Freeview in the UK if I switch to that?
