No sound in live tv mode. I can't see any one option that selects settings for live TV. There are lots of playback settings but I'm not sure what could effect live TV ? Recordings playback in VLC just fine.

Edit: Just learned that I can't get sound from recordings when played back inside X2 as well as live TV.

Just about finalised the hardware for my parent's gbpvr box (chosen case, cpu, cooler, motherboard, video card, drives etc), but seem to tie myself up in knots when it comes down to the tuner side of things - not going for dvb-s, so was thinking twin dvb-t, and maybe analogue in case they needed to record prime/had average reception.

The HVR3000 doesn't have mpeg analogue recording, so the HVR2200 sounds like a good idea, although it requires a PCI-e slot, and as pci-e slots tend to be right next to each other this may not be optimal for fitting in a passive-cooled video card and the tuner while allowing OK heat flow (board size required by antec fusion case, and main pci-e slot to be used by an upcoming passive 4xxx radeon card).

Another problem with the HVR2200 is that it seems to only be available as an OEM kit, so doesn't come with the hauppauge remote kit I have become so used to - I presume I will have to buy an MCE remote kit instead? (like this).

It's still probably the best option though, unless there is another twin dvb-t/hardware analogue card I've missed?

My cable company recently went to all digital. They sent me a free bare-bones cable box but GBPVR is not recogniizing it (A cable card would have cost me). I have deleted EPG and manually added channel 3 but nothing happens when I click Live TV. It was not working on 1.2.9, there I would get snow on the screen. I just upgraded to 1.2.13 but now when I click Live TV it does nothing.

I know you are no longer enhancing mvpmc as such, but I have a small problem that doesn't happen with the Hauppauge dongle. But having said that all the problems I was having with the MVP going into widescreen mode on my 4:3 tv (a real pain) & connecting at times with it I don't have with the mvpmc dongle

I have automatic comskip turned off as I haven't been able to find a decent comskip.ini for NZ. Normally I just hit the blue button to see how comskip has marked things & if it looks right hit the play button or if it looks wrong hit the skip button, this works fine with the Hauppauge dongle but mostly there is a huge delay if it works at all I haven't been able to confirm what it does as I normally end up hitting the skip button & end up well passed the adds into the recording. If I just hit play when it gets to an add break & if comskip has marked things right it works fine. Any ideas??

I have been having problems with being automatically logged of the forums if I am inactive for to long, often happens when the wife demands "her" laptop back while I am reading the forums (inconsiderate women) & then the unread messages seem to get marked a read. I was talking to ACTCMS about it & he said he didn't get logged off so I went looking through "User CP" but can't find any option to stay logged on. Has anyone got any ideas how to stay logged on??

I've been playing with the plugin a little and trying to rename files so as I get a better hit ratio with IMDB. It seems that the look up is case sensitive, with "casino royale (2006)" not getting a hit but "Casino Royale (2006)" getting one. Strangely I can never get a hit with "The Matrix (1999)" even though it seems to be an exact match for the first alternative.

I'll change my files so they are correctly capitalised, but does it need to be this strict? could "casino royale (2006)" not be a match. Please .

Also I am getting the crash when either I am importing or when looking up images manually the exception is below. I continued. logs attached.

I'm having a problem with my programs recorded on my hvr1600s. I'll be watching the program and when I get to some commercials, I'll hit the fast forward on my hauppagage controller. The program will start to fast forward from the beginning. So when I get to the point where I want to start to watch and then come up to the second set of commercials, it will start to fast forward from the point where I left off when I used the controller before.

I read about the timecode issues for the 150, but wasn't convinced from readers that this is also the problem for the 1600. I also have the show time length off when fast forwarding.

I didn't want to use the 150 fix and ruin something for my 1600s. Does anybody know if I have the same issue as the 150 and if so does the 150 fix work? Or is my problem and/or solution totally different?

I currently have an old jalopy computer in the basement running gbpvr and an MVP up by a 19" tv my wife got at a pawn shop in college. But the move to HD is upon us and I need to start thinking of what to do. I'll be buying a new TV and probably a new PC and hardware.

My main question is this...if I have room to put a PC up by the TV is there any reason NOT to do it? Is there any reason to keep the same use-model I have now and go with a PCH and hope that comskip will someday work?

We almost always watch recorded stuff and only occasionally watch live TV.

I had to requests:

1. Is it possible to add a search function to search through watch it now DB?

2. Is it possible to use the same video/audio encoder/renderer as GBPVR, primarily, for me at least, so my volume levels are the same? My combination of audio decoder/renderer works fine for GBPVR stuff (live tv, videos) but it's very quite (even on highest level) when i use netflix player.
