Is it possible to change the aspect ratio like Media Center? There used to be 2 or 3 different zoom options in media center. I often record 16:9 tv on cable so I've tried F7 but it only stretch the images horizontaly, I would like it to strectch vertically also so the image is fullscreen on both sides.

I hope you see what I mean, I don't know how to explain it better than that.

My hard drive recently crashed and my GBPVR installation (along with everything else) was wiped out. I am reinstalling everything from scratch, and am now having trouble with GBPVR. The settings are pretty much all default - Tuning Assistant works fine, shows all my stations, I've got XML TV listings working... but LiveTV does not work - just a blank black screen.

Is there something obvious I am missing? Some setting in config?

I am trying to get GB-PVR to work with my Twinhan 1020a on XP MCE 2005. I have successfully had this card work with several DVB-S programs (MyTheatre, DVBDream, etc.).

However, when I try to configure the card with GB-PVR and do a channel scan, I get the "unable to start BDA..." error. I have the most recent BDA drivers installed.

A couple of possibilities I have considered:
1. MCE is somehow using the card in the background and therefore not releasing it for GB-PVR to use (though I can get other DVB-S programs to use it).
2. I need to do MCE rollup #2 (I hesitate to do this, as it creates issues with MCE if I want to do Twinhan + MCE).
3. I have not been able to pull channels via "Update EPG", though I assumed GBPVR would have to recognize the card before doing this. If this is the culprit, could someone point me to troubleshooting tips?

Edit: I have checked out an earlier thread from today (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=37315) but I don't seem to even get this far....

Problem: I get as far as downloading content but when I try to play before fully loaded a netflix popup comes up and asks for my netflix username and password. The mouse does not work but Tab does so I type in username and then password. But there is no way to enter the info, "Enter" doesn't work and the Tab to send the info is grayed out.

Solution: Open the wmv file in Windows Media Player. It should allow you to log in that way. Also make sure WMP is set to "Download usage rights automatically..." (Tools -> Options -> Privacy). You may need to also update. After that, it should work in the plugin.

Problem: I am getting the following unhandled exception when i try clicking on netflix watch it now in the main menu. When I ctrl alt delete to close gbpvr when this happens I also see a white screen with the infamous red diagonal cross.

Hi everyone,

I'm a relatively new GBPVR user; thanks very much to everyone in the forums whose answers have helped me so far. I've found a problem that I can't seem to find on the forums, though, so I'm starting a new thread.

Starting about a week ago, the sound sometimes stops working when I am watching previously recorded programs. Exiting PVRX2 and then restarting it resolves the problem, but it's gotten to the point where I can't even watch two episodes without having to exit out and restart.

Has anyone resolved this problem before, or know what the story might be?

I am from Canada and have a Schedule Direct EPG account. I have ordinary cable available from a HVR-1800 and Set Top box feed available from my HD-PVR. My HD-PVR EPG uses the Schedule Direct account but since I only have one account, is it possible to setup my cable capture source to get the EPG from Schedule Direct also. Would GB-PVR be able to see which listing is for which tuner?

I have been playing with using an external launcher in moviewiz, and have discovered something that seems very strange. If th path to the file I am trying to launch contains the text '.DVD' this is stripped from the path that is sent as the parameter to the external player. So if I look through the library and see that I have a film identified by the file 'c:\films\my.film.DVDRip.XVid\my.external.launcher.file.aidx' when I try and launch this file using the ExtPlayer button it sends the parameter 'c:\films\my.filmRip.XVid\my.external.launcher.file.aidx', and so I can't launch the film. It seems to work as long as there is no 'dvd' in the path anywhere.

I have updated to the latest version tonoght, but no difference.

Decided to add some new plugins and play with enhancing my EPG in my installation.

Now whenever I try and launch PVRX2 it hangs and the system becomes very unresponsive. After killing PVRX2 with Task Manager the log shows many NullReferenceException errors.

I'm using XMLTV to pull listings from SchedulesDirect. Just before this started happening I added UltraXMLTV_Enhancer and added TunerStatus and SlimGBPVR. I'm using GBPVR 1.2.13 with the community3 skin, HDHomerun tuner. XP SP3

I've tried to back out various recently added plugins, compared the files in my GBPVR directory to a shadow copy I made a few days ago and can't see any significant differences other than GBPVR.db3.

Any ideas other than doing a complete GBPVR rebuild?

I have saved some searches in the EWA with the auto record checkbox but they are not recording. Do I need something in my postepgupdate.bat file to get them to record? I am currently using cdk scheduler but it is hit or miss with the tuner priorities. Any help would be appreciated.
