I hate to ask your help but it's getting me crazy.
I installed yesterday GB-PVR on a W2k3 server.
All scripts are on C:\MVPMC.

When I started telnet.html it get the announcement of "Telnetd started on port 23............". Sofar so good.
When I try to start GB-PVR I'll get a black screen for several seconds and then it returned back to PCH.

My settings in config.xml are changed to the right MAC adress of PCH and also the right resolution of my plasmascreen (1920/1080).

The strange thing is that it worked in de very beginning! But I think after reboots or so I didn't work again.

Someone any suggestions / solutions?

Hi, maybe just a minor bug....
I went from the tv guide into the summary for a program, selected record, then changed to 'record every week' (or whatever the description). I had second thoughts, went back, canceled, then went back to record and checked the other 'record weekly' options. I decided that I'd chosen the right weekly option afterall, selected it, but back in the tv guide view the program wasn't highlighted in red to indicate the recording.
So I'm not sure if the program was set to record or if the tv guide simply wasn't showing the right status.

I have installed a Avermedia Hybrid Speedy PCI-e card. I can't get TV in PVRX2 though everything seems to be right in the capture source tab of "config". My card has been detected, the available channels scanned and EPG updated. But when I try to play the TV, I get a message saying "No signal found". I am able to watch TV in the AverTV software though the image is choppy. I was wondereing if I could get better results with GB-PVR. Can someone help? I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I am also attaching the log files.

I would like to know if there's a way to start GB-PVR (like Vista MCE which I have disabled since Ii doesn't support HD-PVR).

I've tried IR Server Suite (Translator or Tray Launcher application) but it would not detect my any key on any of my remotes.

I would like to know if there's a way for GB-PVR to detect there's no signal when it's recording and send a IR Blaster signal (much in the same way we configure how to change channels) to power on?

That would be cool cause my cable provider often sends update and then my set top box stays off and GB-PVR wouldn't record anything?

So, it's been a while since I've posted in this forum. It's good to back.

I just spent the afternoon poking at my brother's new PVR installation, built around the Hauppauge HD PVR. He's emailing me the logs, so will attach them later, but here's the story so far:

No video, no sound. Other than that, everything is working great.

OK, a bit more detail. I recored a few minutes of whatever channel the STB was set to. The .ts file was created fine. If I play it back in Media Player (most recent version), it does play, although I'm a bit concerned there are going to be some synching problems. But the video is there, and the sound is there. So I'm pretty confident that the recording itself is OK, it's just the playback within PVRX2.

Now then, within Media Player, ffdshow audio and video decoders DO load, along with Haali splitter. From within PVRX2, neither ffdshow nor Haaily appear in the tray. This leaves me guessing it has something to do with the filters being loaded.

For MPEG2 Playback, I have ffdshow selected as the video and audio decoder, save with the h264 decoder. AAC decoders are both at "System Default", no other options are provided there.

Hm. What else. Originally, we had Power DVD installed, which gave us the CyberLink decoder as an option. With this, we got video, but no sounds - recording playback also froze after a few seconds. Live TV video was fine, still no sound though.

ffdshow video decoder DID load.

We uninstalled Power DVD for kicks -- which took away the video.

So, any thoughts? I'm not adverse to learning new things, but right now I'm not even sure where to begin.

I know this exists somewhere, but I couldn't find it on search. I want to manually tune to channel 105.2 in QAM on my HVR1600, but I don't know how to enter the cryptic code to do it. For some reason, when I rescan it doesn't show up most of the time..I think it's a signal strength issue.

Does anyone know how to do this off the top of their heads?

I have had a slight problem with the new native QAM channel mapping feature which I originally posted on the Siliconedust support forum.Whurlston asked me to post my logs to this forum.

Briefly, the problem is that GBPVR does not find one of my clear QAM network channels (however it does find others on the same carrier frequency). Both the HDHomerun setup program and the old ATSC remapping method in GBPVR find it just fine.

Whurlston, the missing channel appears to be at frequency 669Mhz. When the HDHomerun setup scan finds it, it is assigned Tune 103-6. Other channels on the same frequency that ARE found by GBPVR is 103-2 and 103-8.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Is there a way to get the NMT to default to audio channel 2 so we get sound from AC3 recordings? Pressing the audio button is a bit low rent.

TV is a 42" plasma, NMT video set to 720P-60Hz.

I have just updated to latest NMT firmware (thanks, Martin, for scripting changes - worked fine). When I play old analogue recordings or watch Live analogue TV, the screen display is seriously small (large side bars and small top and bottom bars). Damn sure it wasn't like that previously!

Any DVB-T recording or Live TV is great. Fills whole screen perfectly.

I have checked the NMT setup and can't see anything that looks helpful.

Is it the update that has done this?
