I have been checking out GB-PVR for a number of years, mainly waiting for subtitle support, so I was delighted to see it there when I looked the other day. I have just downloaded and installed it but I have a number of problems.
(See below for computer and recording specs)
* Live TV doesn't show DVB subtitles and I can't find a way of displaying them. They _are_ enabled in Config.
* When I click 'record' during a 16:9 broadcast, PVRX2 switches to 4:3 with no subtitles and becomes very jerky - so bad that it's impossible to watch. The recording itself plays fine in VLC, DVBviewer, VideoReDo, etc. in 16:9 with subtitles but PVRX2 plays it in 4:3 with no subtitles. Having switched itself to 4:3 it will only switch back when it finishes recording and can only display 16:9 recordings in 4:3 while it is recording.
* In fact it plays all TS recordings in 4:3 without subtitles. MPGs seem to be OK.
* 'Settings' doesn't work. I click on it, it flashes to the background image then returns immediately to the menu.
* How do I stop a recording once it has started? All I can do is stop the recording service but it carries on recording when I re-start it.
* I don't seem to be able to use "Open with..." with PVRX2. It just takes me to the menu if it isn't running and does nothing if it is.
* I'd prefer to be able to close the program from the taskbar as one can do with most others. Could that be added please?
Otherwise it looks great and works well. From what I've seen so far I'll be happy to adopt it as my PVR of choice but I need these TV issues sorting out before I can.
Hardware: Azurewave TU700 dual DVB-T USB tuner. CPU: Intel E8200 Core2Duo running at 3.2GHz, ATI HD3650 graphics card, 2GB memory, terabytes of RAID 5 disk space.
TV: Digital Terrestrial in the UK (PAL), recording in TS format so that subtitles are recorded. I use Cyberlink decoders and am using EVR (although I tried the other modes as well). OS is Vista Home Premium.
I remember in previous versions of GB-PVR, there was a youtube feature and under config > plugins the YouTube box is checked. Is the feature still in GB-PVR and if it is, how do I get it?
First of all, I have done my best to search through as many threads as I could before posting, but I haven't had much luck solving my problems.

I recently purchased the VistaView 1n1-E (the PCIe version). I installed the card, connected the cable line to the NTSC tuner, and installed the software from the CD. I also downloaded the QAM patch from VistaView's website and installed it as well (I had seen it posted on threads here). I went through the configuration, setting up the card as a digital non-QAM as well as a digital QAM card. I imported TV listings from MC2XML (it thankfully has an option for GT cable service), and allowed the program to search for digital channels (it didn't find any, GT has a couple HD channels, but I assume I would need to be plugged in to the ATSC jack to see them). It appeared to find all the regular (non-HD) channels, as it provided me a list and allowed me to enable/disable the channels I wanted (I left them all enabled).
I hit OK to get through the configuration screen, and pulled up PVRX2. When I click on Search Channels, no channels show up. When I click on guide, the times flash (i think yellow) for a second, then go grey and the program freezes up for a minute, after which it kicks me back out to the main menu. Clicking "Live TV" does nothing but refresh the menu, it won't allow me to watch anything.
Obviously I am new to all this, so I might be doing something stupid, but I would certainly appreciate any help you guys might be able to provide. If I need to attach any log files, let me know. Thanks!
Long story short. I have been using GBPVR for a long time, but my xp machine crashed, and I rebuild Vista, and loaded gbpvr with Visual Running Time, and .net framework 3.5 with service pack 1, but gbpvr keeps crashing. Since then, I have removed .net 3.5 framework, and have reinstalled Visual C++ couple of times, and fresh installation, but no luck.
Here is my setup. I have 2 Gig of Ram on AMD Socket 939 with AMD64 X2 dual core 4400 CPU, and two PVR-150 cards.

I have just re-scanned the channels but some channels including BBC ONE, BBC TWO and NEWS 24 arent showing up? All channels from MUX 1 (http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/dtt_channels.html) arent showing up.
The tuner is a Hauppuage Nova-T Type 5 USB Digital tuner.
I have rescanned channels, checked signal strength on other channels (100%) and have checked cables around the house.
Can somebody please help me with this as it is causing big problems.
Trying to squeeze the best recording quality out of my PVR-150, using the s-video input. Tried to decrease the temporal filter level (using GraphEdit), but it doesn't seem to be having an effect. Adjusting brightness/sharpness/etc. thru GraphEdit works.
Does the card even perform temporal smoothing for the s-video input?
My PC is working great with GB PVR. I have set it to go to standby after 20 minutes and was wondering if there is a way to wake the PC using my Hauppage PVR 150 remote, rather than having to press the power button. Lazy I know!
Recently my epg guide became all out of order. Channels are missing, not in the right order, all the programs information is wrong. I am using Schedules Direct. The computer is only being used for TV viewing and I already got my GBPVR configured the way I want it so I haven't been playing with it or changing anything at all.
I am not sure which logs should I attach so please let me know what you need. Thanks
