When I was recording the Olympics, my broadcaster's programme times for the events I wanted to watch changed everyday.

For recordings that were preset before an EPG update, I noticed that it didn't move across to the new time but instead the EPG got mucked up. I had to cancel the recording, empty and update the EPG again to get it correct again.

Is there an easier way to do this?

I have just installed GBPVR version 1.2.9 and I am using a pinnacle HD Pro Stick for OTA HD TV. I have been able to get my channels set up but the audio playback is not working. I am running vista home premium 32. I had audio working yesturday but one time when I started up the program and the screen that pops up about ffdshow came up I think I checked always use this and don't ask me again. And not really know what I was doing there that seems to have made the audio stop working.

I did a conversion from home made dvd to x.264 using fair use wizard. I was able to play the x.264 file with VLC. However, when i used Quicktime 7.5 version the x.264 refused to play. I was thinking that Quicktime does play H.264? Am I missing something?

I wish to watch my iTunes downloaded podcasts on my GBPVR system, but GBPVR does not play MP4 and M4V files, I don't want to have to do any converting, just selecting the file and playing it.

Is there a way to get GBPVR to play it, like adding a new codec ? If that is a way, what is the codec called, and how do I configure it?

When I try to burn a (PAL) dvd with BurnDVDX2 the VIDEO_TS is empty after conversion. When I hit "Burn DVD" ImgBurn starts in seconds. The burndirectory with the menu files, VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS are created. But VIDEO_TS is empty.

I have this problem for a while and can't figure out why this happens. Reinstalling BurnDVDX2 doesn't help.

Can somebody please help?

The way I have my setup is my power button on the remote both turns GBPVR on and off. The way I do that is I have startup and shutdown .bat files that essentially only do two things turn monitor on/off and run/kill pvrx2.exe process. This creates a slight problem. If i just kill pvrx2.exe while watching live TV once pvrx2.exe is shut down the live tv continues to get recorded ( i have timeshift enabled all the time).
When I noticed that I was like fine this makes sense I am not exactly closing the prvx2.exe gracefully. So what I did for a workaround is I have included stop and start GBPVRrecordingService.exe commands in my shutdown script. And then I realized that this way I won't be able to shutdown GBPVR through remote when I am actually purposefully recording something since the GBPVRRecordingService.exe will get restarted.
So my question is: is there a way to call the same function that selecting Exit from the main menu calls, from the batch file? Or is there a way to add some OnPvrx2ProcessClose logic(in future releases) that can differentiate if it's live tv being recorded or an actual program?

Can you get standard analog cable with this card and gbpvr? What about QAM channels?

Hi, I've set up a second PC to run as a client of my main PC. However instead of being able to access the epg, use live TV, etc, I want this second PC to simply automatically play whatever the main PC is playing or tuned into, etc. I.e have the second PC act as a dumb terminal.

Is this possible with a pvrx2 client? Or is there a plugin to do it?
Or any other suggestions for a good way to do this...?
