I just tried to record the Olympics Closing Ceremonies and it recorded the wrong channel. It's done this twice now and I think it's the same channel. I tried to do a quick record and that seemed to still work...I know it's the wrong channel because I looked in the GBPVRRecordingservice.exe.log and it said it recorded on channel 74 when it should have been on channel 8. Any ideas on where to look from here?
I know I'm still using 99.12 so support may be limited.
Ok, as the maintainer of the CommunitySkin installer, and one of the major contributors, I have a quandry.
This summer (check local listings in your area) I have been really busy. I feel I may have neglected things on the skinning front. This fall with football season and coaching, I'll have less time. I am thinking of breaking apart the plugins to be individual installs (maybe even just zip files for easier "community" particpation). I can create a master installer as usual, but any new updates would be sort of download by demand. I am trying to think of ways to avoid having to rely on one person, and improve the spirit of "community" as a goal. No, I am not going anywhere, I just don't want to be a road block.
My application event log shows the GBPVR Recording service starting and stopping many times each day (sometimes half a dozen times within minutes), is that normal or to be expected?
Right, I have managed to get a hold of a second hand compro T300 tv card with remote. I have read the wiki documentation but I am unable to get the remote to work with GBPVR. I have downloaded HIP and followed the online info but I am now stuck.
anyone break this down into easy peasy steps for me?
I have a very good working GBPVR installation, does everything I want. I just changed tv providers and they supplied an STB with a PVR built in. I have everything working with their box to record what I want on GBPVR. So far everything is great.
Here's the rub.
Part of my new tv subscription includes HD channels and the STB PVR will record in HD. My Hauppage 150 of couse, will not. I hate the idea of setting up recordings in two different systems, SD recordings on GBPVR and HD recordings on the STB... so...
Is there a way that I could encode the remote control keys like a macro to fire off the change channel command to the STB AND at the same time, send the command to have the STB use it's internal PVR to record a program, when it is on a certain channel? This way, I manage the recordings from GBPVR but record on the 'best' system, depending on the source quality...
Any ideas how this could work?
I know that I could create a post processing batch file that would delete the 'empty' recording from the HDD that GBPVR will create... But I'm not sure how I could create a 'remote control command macro' that would change the channel and press the 'record' button...

I am sorry if this info already exists but I searched and searched and could not find an answer. I am running GBPVR 1.2.13 on two PCs and only one has an internet connection and updates the EPG daily. I would like to manually copy the EPG file from the one PC to the other (its not on my network either) every other week or so but I cannot determine the location of the EPG file.
Can someone point me to a thread or config file that tells me the path and file name for the EPG so that I can copy it?
If for some reason the EPG is embedded in a file that cannot be copied from one PC to another can I copy the original source XML file from Schedules Direct that was downloaded and get GBPVR to update its EPG based on this file (on the PC with no internet or network connection)?
In case you are wondering WHY I am running GBPVR on a PC with no internet or network connection it is because I have older shows on this PC from when it had a connection and I basically still use it as a media center. I also use the PC to watch live TV but it would be nice to have an EPG also.

I have one particular file that will play fine through the native PCH firmware, but when I try to play it through mvpmcx2 it just goes to a black screen and I have to telnet to the PCH and restart it. It's an analog recording, plays back fine on everything except when using mvpmcx2. This is the second one I've found. How can I help troubleshoot this?
