Something has recently changed and my UltraXMLTV Enhancer is not working any more. I've included my log file to show you the problem. The last time it worked properly was 7/19/08. Since then it has been hanging up when on the line "-- >>> Zula Patrol - Blast to Earth's Past; The Great Climb : No info available from theTvdb.com today..." (I don't see any obvious problem as there is no error message or anything...I just have noticed my listings have not been enhanced)
This evening (7/24/08) I tried downloading the most recent version of UltraXMLTV hoping my problem might be something that had come up before and is fixed in a new version. The error handling seems to work better as it now gives me a couple of dialog boxes with errors (see log for details). I click "OK" to those, but it eventually gets stuck on Error 52 and I have to terminate the program in taskmanager to get out.
I have not adjusted settings in months, so I can only assume something is different about the TV listings file I'm being fed by Schedules Direct (USA). In case it helps, I downloaded a new Schedules Direct file and attached it as well so you can see what it looks like. I had to truncate the xml file (cut from the bottom) and the log (cut from the top...oldest, but left some working date information) in order to get the zip file small enough to upload. I can also upload an older xml file from back when things were working if that would help.
Do you have any ideas how I can help UltraXMLTV get back in action?
I have installed the PVR Server on one box, scanned for channels etc OK and all seems to be fine there.
When I start the client on my HTPC however it crashes on startup, but only when configured to act as a client. If I untick the client option then it starts fine. I have tried both streaming and client options and have disabled firewalls and anti-virus on both server and client. It also happens no matter what renderer / fullscreen option is selected.
The crash is at startup and is displayed in a .net unhandled exception dialogue.
I'm running on Vista x64.

I am having a new playback problem on my GBPVR Vista installation. Most recently when I try to playback an HD recorded program I get the Windows error stated above. The file itself seems fine and can be played in VLC. The only recent changes I have made were some tweaks in comskip. I don't think this problem would be a result of that . I have attached log files. Again any help would appreciated.

This quote and similar ones helped me solve my .mp3 playback issue by using GraphEdit. Armed with this knowledge, I confidently tried to solve my current .mkv playback issue. I'm getting no sound when playing through the video library.
I dropped the mkv file into GraphEdit and it played with video and sound. My initial reaction was that if it played in GraphEdit, it should be playing in GB-PVR. For some reason, I thought I had read that the various playback rendering settings in config applied only to GB-PVR recordings and not to files like this .mkv file. I thought, like the .mp3 case it was just handed off to the DirectShow filters to be played.
A little poking into the logs and swapping rendering settings in config convinced me that this was not correct. I managed to lose video too, by changing config and I see the filters listed from config trying to be used to playback the .mkv file. Now the odd thing is that when I try to use the filters that I think are being used by GB-PVR to play back in GraphEdit, it works in GraphEdit and when I try to choose filters in config that worked in GraphEdit, it still doesn't work in GB-PVR.
Perhaps I've made a mistake. I'm not certain that I've got the right decoders and renderers matched up, but I think I did. Regardless, what I'm really looking for is understanding so I can troubleshoot myself. I think I'm missing something about how video is played, what filters are selected by GB-PVR, how config controls the selection, what part filter merit plays in this and how GB-PVR's playback differs from what I see in GraphEdit.
IOW, I want to be able to help others and not bother sub and post logs every time I've got some minor playback issue of my own. Is there a Wiki entry about troubleshooting or a post that might help me figure some of this out? Thanks in advance.
Hey there people, I hope somone can help with my prob. I have similar problems, but temp folder exists. The radio stations work on vlc but not in GBPVR. Sorry little new to GBPVR, which log file should I be looking at to diagnose my problem?
Windows Media player can playback Albumwrap files (A collection of MP3's packed together with a small utility called Albumwrap).
I can't get GBPVR music library to playback the albumwrap files although the extension is MP3 and it contains valid MP3's. It simply skips to the next file in the list.
- Is there a way to trick GBPVR into playing albumwrap files?
- Is there a way to split albumwrap files? (the albumwrap-extractor 1.0 available on several download sites does not recognize the files as valid albumwrap files)
First off, I love GBPVR. I've been using it for over 4 years. Absolutely love it. However, this is what I'd like to do.
I am not using GBPVR as my video output. I'm using it strictly as a scheduler and to record TV shows. I use my Xbox (XBMC) to watch the video. (Please don't smite me).
I'd like to install GBPVR on a VIA EPIA box. Some of the VIAs have video input, does GBPVR work well with those video inputs? Being that I'm using GBPVR JUST to record shows and transcode videos to XVID, would GBPVR work well with a VIA board? (I know I've seen a number of posts about VIA use, I'm wondering what everyone recommends, and any gotchas).
I'd like my VIA box to run a vmware server as well, so I'm wanting to have something with a 'little' more power.
Sub, do you know if this board is supported with gbpvr? After the failure to get a scan with my old compro card, this is available for the next 24 hours at less than 30 UKP, but before spending I need to know I'm not throwing money away again.

Hi all ePSXe users,
I have a request on the 2.6 wishlist to support ePSXe 1.70 I would like to continue to support 1.60 as well.
I have looked at what it would take to support both and come up with a whole heap of work to get GameZone to support both. Thinking alternatively, when GameZone was first created ePSXe was the first emulator added, the integration of GameZone although not perfect is actually quite extensive. The direction of GameZone has taken a slightly different path than when I first started out and instead of fully integrating every emulator it has become more of a application launcher and the integration is not nearly so tight.
I would like to propose that I remove much of the ePSXe integration and reduce it to a simply set of items. I would then be able to easily support both, if anyone has an issue with this then please speak up now as I will be looking at coding in the next few days.
As all the house bills seem to be going up I've been wondering if I could make use if Windows XP's sleep modes to send the HTPC into low power mode if not in use.
So my question is how many people here are using these hibernate/sleep features, what is required and what are people experiences with it (reliability, noise level etc)?
