I'm really sorry if this has been covered before, I've had a search and cannot find a solution. I'm new to GBPVR, I had it running a while ago on a single machine, I've now upgraded the hardware and infrastructure and decided to try streaming. I have a workstation setup with a haupagge nova twin tuner, GBPVR is setup and working. I've shared the GBPVR folder, the Recording and Live TV and set so users can change files. I've pointed the client to the workstation shares but cannot get it to work. GBPVR will start up you can then click on LiveTV option and a black screen come ups, then shortly afterwards GBPVR reverts to the mainmenu. If you look in the share on the server there are files a few seconds long of BBC1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I tried this over a wired gigabit link and wireless and got the same results.

OK, strange issue.

For background; I've been using GBPVR with a Hauppauge WinTV PVR150MCE and everything was great.
Decided to upgrade the PC to a nice small Shuttle chassis and invested in a Hauppauge HVR1300. I had both systems up at the same time and copied all the settings over from one screen to the other.

I'm running 1.2.13 on XP SP3 with all updates available as of today.
The hardware is a Athlon X2 4800 with 2gig of memory so don't think I'm running out of power.

The only input is composite from the Sky box to the HVR1300 along with audio from Sky to the line-in on the HVR1300.

If I go to live TV, the sound starts and then stops after about 5 seconds. At this point the video becomes stuttery as well. If I decide to record the prog and also watch at the same time then the sound and video are both perfect.

Any ideas????? please?????

Oh, for the hardware update I was going to look at other PVR applications as the delay when streaming live TV to a client PC is a bit long. Tried SageTV, BeyondTV, mediaPortal - none of them gave me as much as GBPVR gives so wasted a day playing
For reference my requirements are; stream live TV to other PC's in the house, automatically mount ISO's and play as DVD's (this was the difficult one!), able to play videos stored on another PC.

So - well done GBPVR for having all the features that's needed

Cat 8.7 has fixed the green screen issue and channel-change corruption issues on my Freeview-HD (H.264). I can now also FF/REW recorded TV.

I'm very happy to finally be able to watch Freeview-HD without display issues

For those with AMD chipset motherboards, you now have to separately download the chipset drivers. At the AMD/ATI download page, select Integrated/Motherboard option and select closest match chipset & Go. Scroll down to the "additional downloads" section and download the "South Bridge Driver". This contains the Northbridge Filter, IDE Controller, and SATA RAID Controller.

I’ve edited Irremote.ini, installed the Hauppauge IR32.exe, followed all the other posts, still doesn’t work. All other keys work as expected.

Even though I don't have access to the video hardware I though I'd share the first results of speed test using the Hauppauge media protocol instead of HTTP or SMB to talk to mvpmcx2. I was pretty impressed with the mean score being about 50 Mbs and it took about 4 1/2 minutes to transfer an hour 1.7 MB SD broadcast.

Okay, so I guess I have no idea what I'm doing.

I just bought a WinTV-HVR 1800.
I'm running Windows XP Professional, and I'm hoping to use GBPVR to watch and record TV.
I live in Vancouver, and have Telus TV.
I'm still analog at this point.

I need a clear step by step on how to set this thing up, because for the life of me I can't seem to figure out with the available wiki.

Does GBPVR support DVB-T radio? It's not picking up these stations in the scan and I can't find any reference to it. I'm using a Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T PCI card that supports DVB-T radio.

So, aside from the fact that I seem to be one of the first people with the new ati all-in-wonder hd (great card for 149.00 btw)

I'm stumped on getting gb-pvr to scan any atsc channels, on either it, or the hauppauge 1600 (or qam for that matter).

I am able to get atsc working in mp, beyondtv, and each card's native program, so I'm sure it's something that I'm just missing here.

I've checked all of the other posts detailing similar problems, and tried the patch, and I've gone through a number of different codecs.

I'm still coming up with no channels found from either card.

Does anyone know if I can get GB-PVR using a usb-uirt to control one of the Zenith DTT900 digital converter boxes? Tried some searching (Google, here) with not much success.

I presently use the usb-uirt to control a dish stb, so I'll be trying to add a second input to my PVR-350 card with both being controlled by the same usb-uirt.
