Hi,

I'm consistently find the same channels not present whenever I scan Astra 2D. The '8350' FTA Channel 4 for one is always missing, along with most of 10733H, for which I'm only seeing 'ETV', 'BBC TES 3', and 'BBC 1 NI'.

I heard there's been a major rejigging of data streams on 2D lately to get freesat and Sky to sit together. Is anyone else getting this problem, or is my veteran Twinhan finally running out of steam?

I have *finally* gotten an (at this point) moderately manual process together that works for me to get the .MPG files that are created from GBPVR burned onto DVD. The process currently requires PVAStrument to demux the file and convert it into the MPV format that Cuttermaran seems to require.

It's worked great for 11 movies that I can now finally remove of my hard drive. However, there's two movies that had synching errors in the demux process, and PVAStrumento created multiple sequentially numbered MPV files after it detected and re-synched the audio, but now I don't know where in the process to merge those files back to one, or how to do it, for that matter.

I'd like to very briefly explain my current process, and offer it up to those who can tell me where I need to re-merge these files (and how), but also see if there's anyone who can suggest how to automate the steps more. So far, I'm happy with the process as a whole, but am open to optimizations of any sort.

1) Demux - PVAStrumento
2) Remove Commercials - Cuttermaran
(Includes Remuxing via ImagoMPEG and Encoding via TMPGEnc)
3) Convert to ISO - DVD Flick
4) Shrink VOB files if necessary to fit on DVD - DVD Shrink
5) Burn to DVD - ImgBurn

Hey everyone, new member here...I'll be getting my HD-PVR in a few days and will be giving GBPVR a shot to use with it. Right now I'm using VMC and a HVR-1600MCE with a SD STB and the MCE Ir blasters. Pretty typical setup. My question(s) is(are) can I use my HVR-1600 and the HDPVR in the same box? For example regular analog cable to tuner on the HVR-1600 and the SD STB to the HDPVR for sort of a dual-tuner, watch one channel while recording the other type of set-up. And if this is possible what channel change hardware would I need to make this all work?

I have manually added a channel to the EPG on one of my tuners but when I check the other tuner in the Config Capture Sources it does not exist. How can I manually add a channel and get it to appear in each tuner with out getting duplicates in the TV Guide?

Hi,
On Windows XP 32 this works great, however on Windows XP x64, GBPVR refuses to register a few things, psiparser and a few others.
I have installed the redist package that comes with GBPVR, and am not sure what will fix my problem?
Please help, I really liked using GBPVR on xp 32.

I have a Hauppauge HVR 950Q that I bought to use with GBPVR. I installed the driver and the WinTV product that came with it. WinTV works well -- even the analog portion which I'm not really interested in. No problems with watching or scanning channels, etc.

I set up GBPVR to use the 950Q using with this BDA.ini:

GBPVR recognized my 950Q, and during the channel scanning, it found the expected 15 or so ATSC stations.

The 950Q device has a LED which lights up when it connects to a station. During the scan, the LED lit up when it finds the stations.

However, once I started using the system via live TV, about 80% of the time, GBPVR will report that signal strength is 0 so that no video appears (the LED is off). About 20% of the time, the LED on the 950Q will light up and live TV starts. I definitely know the strength of the signal for the 15 or so stations is high.

I have a strange problem, i am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have GBPVR setup using a MCE Remote and Blaster. V2 1390 i think it is.

I can get the blaster working fine using GBPVR builtin function or Hip or IT Suite, configures and tests AOK. THen when i use it, the chanels change once, then start skipping numbers the second try, then stops working.

If i remove all configuration and reboot a few times i can do it again, but again after 1 successful change it fails again.. any ideas? Can you point me in the right direction?

Records fine from DVB-T and plays back ok - except FF and RW are really screwed up. FF may FF for a bit - then just stop at a certain point (e.g. 23.01 minutes) -and sometimes will actually go backwards instead of forward.

I get the following in my log when I click on the Gamezone item in PVRX2.exe

Gamezone does not open, the screen just flashes and goes back to the main menu.
