Hi this is my first post so be kind, I have installed a Nova T 500 twin tuner free view card on my XP 32 bit system and can't get the live view or system to work. I have looked on here but unable to find anything that helps. I have still got the Win tv program installed and that works OK. Any help and I would be most grateful after hours of looking.

Is the fact that a file is an ISO signified by the .iso extension or by the zcd="2" in the href tag? If the latter, is there any way to add an option to the config to tell it to use the zcd="2" for other extensions? Please see the NMT forum link for reasoning...

Added a new Nova HD S2 card - but because I already installed the latest WinTV software for another card, Windows did not give me the chance to install new drivers - it recognised the card and installed drivers automatically.
Should I use HWclear and install eveything from scratch? Everything seems in order except for one entry in device manager - 'WinTV 88x (unused function)'. No exclamation marks though.
I cannot test it yet as I have no sat dish!
In PVRX2 the card is not listed when 'only show installed devices' is checked -the nearest was 'HVR400 S/S2' Should the HD S2 appear in the list? I started a scan for the hell of it, and it did go through the scanning process fine...

I have v1.2.13 installed on Vista, with a HVR4000 card. I am using DVB-T in NZ. Have muddled through install and codec selection. All works great within GB-PVR.

What can I use to open / convert the generated .TS recordings?? Currently players like VLC or Media player classic will play video without sound. I think this is to do with NZ's odd deployment of HD TV??

I have been recording kids shows and want to get them in a format so as to edit and write to DVD.

Is there a link with directions to set up GB-PVR to pick-up Clear QAM cable? I have moderate computer skills.

Is the function to import and export recordings dump exposed in the API? I can't find it. If it is, does it have the option to specify the filename?

I'm using gbpvr and I love the livetv preview mode. I can play games and my remote control is responsive. However, I can't seem to figure out how to pause, either with livetv preview on or off. When I hit pause the screen goes black, and when I press it again I'm taken back to the main menu. I have a Happauge WinTV 1800 if that matters. Any ideas?

I'm trying to record from the analog input of my hauppauge wint tv nova-plus.

i can watch tv over the composite input of this card, but i am not able to do a recording (and also no time-shift viewing)

Everything works fine when i record from a DVB-S channel.
I can also record from the analog input with WinTV Software, but not with gbpvr.

Do I have to install an additional muxer for that task?
Or is it not possible to make recordings from analog sources with that type of card?

Can anyone help me please and give me some hint?

Just wanted to give a heads up to something I just learned about mencoder. It looks like some builds of mencoder cannot process files larger than 1023 MB - I think it's got something to do with ODML. It probably won't affect most people, but for sports watchers, it can really screw things up.

I record the Tour de France and I had just switched to a newer build of mencoder and the last weeks worth of recordings are gone. I switched back to my older version and the recording played fine. Sorry, can't give details on the versions used as I don't know how.

AAARGH...if it ain't broke don't fix it!!!!
