I would like to playback DVDs stored on my PVR's hard disk, keeping chapter stops, etc. I can either store VOBs or ISO files. I have no preference. I see most are storing ISO files, but could not find much more than that.

I do have the daemon installed and configured. What I don't see is which directory to drop all the .ISO files into. There's only a path for the .exe file in the config. I couldn't find anything in the Wiki about this, either.

I've had good luck using TVersity to stream to my PS3s, but I have some DVDs that have multiple episodes on one DVD like Firefly and Coupling, and really want to be able to do the chapter stops rather than just having one big VOB or MP4 file with no stops.

I have my DVD's ripped to a FreeNAS server (which is based on FreeBSD). The FreeNAS mount point is called FreeNAS and contains subfolders like documents, music, photos, movies, etc that have open permissions so all clients on the home network can access them. I was looking at these instructions in the sticky thread -

That looks ugly but you only have to set it up once for each location. Notice that each \ is doubled and each space is also preceded by a \ Other characters that need special attention include [ ] { } ( ) " ' and & If you do use these characters it is probably best to test using telnet avoiding some of these characters is best.

My setup is HDHR + 2X WinTV USB2 + MVP + PCH + GB-PVR 1.2.9.. All of this was working fine until I used a software tool today to remove some registry entries for some filters that had not been completely uninstalled (none of these filters were used by GB-PVR). Now when I try to map digital channels to EPG channels I get the subject error message. There is also an error message in config.exe.log "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"..... I cant decode the balance of the message. I have rebooted, restarted recording service and restarted the HDHR manager. I have reregistered filters and attached the log files including bda.ini and filtercheck.log. Bda.ini had not changed since before all this happened and I can't spot any problems in filtercheck.log. I'm now stuck and would appreciate any assistance.

So I have IR blaster - Home made.
It's on the DTR line of the serial port.
Im running winLIRC.
Dish Network

I have it working in test mode. IE I can send channels numbers to the Sat Box.
But I can only send single numbers at a time, anytime I try say 222 the box picks up 22 changes to HSN and then sees another 2.

It's like the number seportation is way to long and the box is timing out.

Is there an easyer way to make a simple blaster work with GBPVR.

Here is the issue that I'm having. If I unplug the PCH and plug it back in, I can start telnet and run gbpvr. When I am done watching, I use the power off button to exit gbpvr. If I turn everything off (harmony remote) and back on, gbpvr will not come back up. I get the "cannot make directory" message if I try to start telnet so I know it's still connected. When I click on gbpvr, the screen goes black and flickers a couple of times. After about 30 seconds, I get the "always back up your data screen" as if I pressed the power button on the remote. If I unplug the PCH and plug it back in, I'm back in business. What is that about :confused:

If I am browsing by artist, choose an artist, then an album, the tracks in the last box are in alphabetical order. is there some way of getting them so that they are in track number order, as they are on the album? The way things currently are makes it impossible to listen to albums as they are intended, and if it is a mix album impossible to listen to at all, as one track starts (at the end of the last track) then something completely different cuts in as the next track alphabetically comes in. great plugin though. really improved the Wife Acceptance Factor.

i have seen threads here for this item working with gbpvr.

Anyone know how to launch the default windows screensaver using C#. All I can find with google is examples in VB6!

Some, but not all, of my scheduled recordings stopped working two days ago. As far as I can tell from the TV Guide and the Pending Recordings screens, they are set up correctly. According to the log (attached) I am getting:

Error starting recording: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero.

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this any further and would welcome any help you can give me. Thanks
