I've got some mp3's that make a harsh pop and click sound in my amp instead of music when played through PVRX2. Other mp3's play fine in PVRX2 and these mp3's play OK through WMP and other mp3 players outside of PVRX2. If it's relevant, the amp is connected via SPDIF and the internal audio uses DTS Connect, but as above, these files play fine with this setup in Windows Media Player.

I've looked in config, but it's unclear if the MPEG settings apply to mp3 audio. Changing them seemed to have no effect.

I have been using BeyondTV for some time now but I heard that GB-PVR supports clear QAM for the VistaView. I have never used GBPVR before and was trying to configure it. I also have a Firefly remote control.

I keep getting this line down the right side of my screen when watching TV. What might be causing it and how do I get rid of it?

EDIT: I did find this in config.xml...

I changed it to 1.25 which got rid of the line, but the video was obviously stretched.

I don't really want ot stretch it but rather move the video a little to the right to eliminate the bar I see. Is that possible and, if it is, how?

I have just installed this card and am pleased with it. I replaced my second PVR150 with it. I set up two sources for analogue and two for DVB-T. So far it seems to be working as expected. (OK, that's a lie. I didn't expect it to work this easily!!).

Will probably remove the other PVR150 - will see how we go.

When i scan any of the D1 sat configs in the config i get no channels, as it scans past the channels it give - strenght and 80-100 for quality settings and sometimes previews pop up in the window but it always says no channels found

I looked in the scan.cache file and it is empty, I took the same lnb settings

and put them into wintv and get all the channels sweet as, so I am doing something very stupid somewhere, can you guys give me any hints, I have tried using the dvb epg as wel as my xmltvnz guide data to see if that maes any difference

I have some AVIs (Xvid) that will not play with wmplayer but do play fine with VLC. I am presumung that GBPVR uses wmplayer aswell.

Can I change any setting to force GBPVR to use VLC?

I'm a very satisfied user of GB-PVR. I have an HTPC with the Hauppauge 150 card and the 45 button remote. I use a Oneforall remote (Kameleon 8) as a replacement.

Since i've encountered the hdmi handshake problem on my HD television (if i change source on my television and go back to the htpc, i get a no signal error), I downloaded the program HdmiOn (h**p://thydzik.com/tag/hdmion/) and mapped this to a keyboard shortcut. This program works fine. However, I want to map this program to a key on my remote, so i don't have to use the keyboard.

I've looked at EventGhost, which should be able to do the trick. The .xml file in the wiki doesn't work for me (it says GB-PVR not found; i replaced the GB-PVR.exe in the xml file with PVRX2.exe, but to no avail, alas. I'm not enough of a programmer (cough cough) to sort this myself). EG seems a program that has many possibilities and i would love to get it to work.

Then I realised that it should also be possible to add the command for hdmion.exe to the irremote.ini and map it to for instance one of the color buttons. I've been reading thru the available information, but i'm still rather clueless how to do that.

Can anyone help me with either EventGhost or irremote.ini ? I attached my irremote file.

P.S. Updating the catalyst drivers for my ati card hasn't sorted the hdmi handshake problem, as has been suggested elsewhere on this forum.

How much interest is there in using GBPVR to display files that are stored on the NMT and instead of streaming to the PC and back again over http, mvpmcx2 plays the file locally?

The reason I ask is I did make some code I had written for myself more generic so everyone could use it and unlike the DVD code, it would all be automatic.

There are some limitations

- sub would need to send the full filename
- audio play all would still be streamed by GBPVR

Also the NMT is not a NAS so some things especially album art and photos will be slower.

I see Istar has there HDMI 1.1 on sale for $169usd, and just wanted to get some opinions on whether it is worth getting. My situation is strickly streaming, no HDD will be installed, i use my server for everything.

So is the Istar exactly the same as the PCH in terms of software, any disadvantages of getting the Istar, i currenly have a PCH and love it

Hi, I'm running v1.2.13 with two HVR-4000 tuners. I have one of them (device 1) successfully viewing Freeview via satellite but would like to use the other one to view Sky via the s-video input.

I've been trying it as Analogue Recording Plugin, Device #2, s-video and s-video 2 to no avail, has anybody set this up before? :confused:
