I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where to post it.
I was wondering if I could just confirm that there are two animations in GB, "Fadethrough" and "Zoomthrough" and these are fixed and only applicable to "SwitchScreen" i.e they can't be applied to individual GUI elements.
A little while ago you moved a heap of formatting stuff to the baseskin.xml. I was wondering what was involved. Any chance of a dumb-dumb's guide to moving formatting options form the individual xml's to the baseskin?
I was mainly interested in if it's possible to move the different "Views" placements to the baseskin. That way all the main GUI placements are centralized and can be individual to each theme.

Installed GBPVR last December. Running fine till upgraded hardware. New hardware consists of LG 720p TV and Samsung home theatre system. Upgrade switched video output from Svideo to HDMI and audio output from analog to optical. Video source are analog inputs to Hauppage card and onboard Realtek HD audio both from Dish reciever.
Current issues: do have picture but no sound from GBPVR. Do have sound from VLC and iTunes over same connection. Attempted HDMI to TV to carry both video and sound but would not work so optical connection directly to Samsung surround. AVI files in Video library will not open. Also had out of sync issues in Live mode requiring pausing and continuing.
Was using Nvidia PureVideo codecs. Did upgrade H.264 codes as they were blank with PDVD8 and Monogram.
Working over VNC on HTPC so have to trust hardware connections for testing. I'd really appreciate a hand. I've attached logs.
Oh and GraphEdit crashes every time even with clean install.
Ok it looks like everything is working nicely now apart from the screensaver.
The inbuilt one is ok but does not always come on leaving my plasma burning away whilst having a smoke etc.
What I would prefer is for GBPVR to simply allow the Windows screen saver to kick in when it is idle.
I use picture slide show as my Windows screensaver and have loaded it up with about 20,000 lovely scenery pictures and am used to that kicking in when a video is paused in any other app.
Is it possible for this to happen whilst using GBPVR?
I have started working on GameZone 2.6.
So far in the bucket of stuff to work on I have the following.
1. sort out multiple paths on Xtra Emulators - DONE!
2. add some error checking for rom paths being configured. - DONE!
3. Add support for ePSXe 1.70 - DONE!
4. LCDSmartie support - DONE!
5. Update Mame database to exclude, BIOS files I have extended this to include all games that the mame version marks as not runnable DONE!
6. Sort out PNG support for the emulator ICONS
Anybody else got any wishes?

Hi all. I am new here and have searched for related problems, but have not found the answer. I have the Pinnacle PCTV HD (qam) pci card and I've read that it has been known to cause problems, so here is the deal.
When I click on Live TV it blinks off for a split second and then it takes me back to the main menu. So basically it does nothing. I know there are channels available because when I mapped the EPG i could see and hear the channels in the little video viewer. Also, the TV Guide works and pulls all the info, but when I try to watch from there it does nothing as well. It looks a lot like the settings bug w/ the skins folder, where it just flickers when you click on it. Hopefully there is a fix just as easy.
What I am trying to watch is the clear qam HD channels. I am not interested in any analog channels. Like I said, I know I get these channels and can watch them with my Pinnacle software, but it is choppy and slow. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, turned off the firewall on the router, no Windows firewall running or any other blocking software and, Net Radio still switches between buffering and the URL but does not play anything.
Odd because I listen to some of the channels through shoutcast on my other PC and it works fine.
I have had my install working for a few months. For a while the image quality was very good and I was pleased. A few weeks back I noticed the image quality had dropped, with that 'interlacing' feel - a blurry background and blurry anything else that moved fast. Very much MPEG1 visually. I had not made any changes to the machine to cause this. It was now my 'production' pvr sitting under my tele, no more fiddling. Also, windows update is turned off. So no changes at all!
When it was working ok, I was using the Cyberlink decoder and all was good. However it appears that now it ignores any changes to the 'video decoder' settings. if I choose any other decoder (I have loaded a few to try and solve this) the video performance never changes at all. They all look the same, with the same blurry MPEG1 ugliness.
Along comes 1.2.13 - I have upgraded to see if there are any changes. Nope, nothing for picture quality anyway. But now I cannot get into the 'Settings' applet from the main menu. It opens and then instantly drops back to the main menu again.
just to be sure I now updated my NVIDIA drivers. No change.
Now I decided that I would uninstall all MPEG decoders by uninstalling all their host apps. Then install the Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 app by itself to get that MPG decoder working. Now I get no video in GB-PVR at all (black screen), but I do get audio. No changes to the config can give me video back. I renamed the config.xml file to reset the config, and re-setup from scratch. Still no video, just a black screen.
Also, If I run the app "MUX Checker" I get:
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.
Why is my installation ignoring all my settings for 'Video Decoder'? I am considering a reinstall but I dont want to loose my recorded tv programs from the 'recordings' applet in GB-PVR. Any tricks on backing that up and restoring later?
