ffdshow is the only codec I have installed (aside from whatever VLC uses) & I can play DVD's & HDPVR recordings fine using WMP, but when I seem to be unable to configure GBPVR to use it for either.

Under the DVD tab of the config app, the only option I have is "system default" for video (I can select ffdshow for audio).

Under the Playback tab, I can select ffdshow for H.264 playback, but only "system default" for AAC & HE-AAC, even thow I've enabled both in the ffdshow audio decoder setup.

If I try to playback HDPVR recordings, I just get a blank screen & PVRX2 hangs. When I play them back in WMP, they play fine & I see the ffdshow audio & video icons pop up in the tray.

This wasn't really an issue before because I used to watch everything via PCH, but now that I've cleaned up my office (and put together a better rig), I'd like to watch shows there as well. Would installing the Arcsoft decoder make things work better in gbpvr?

DVD's aren't a huge issue since I usually watch them in VLC anyway.

apparently the list of transponders (ini-files in gbpvr/bda/..) GBPVR uses for channel scanning is no up to date, at least 0192.ini (Astra 1F/1G/1H/1KR/1L) is not. GBPVR is referring to http://joshyfun.cjb.net/ which for example at present shows 78 transponders for 0192.ini whereas http://de.kingofsat.net/ shows 79 transponders.

so, perhaps users with a missing channels issue should verify their list of transponders ..

worked for me when e4 disappeared a while back. might be same problem you have.

I am still using myvideos plugin. It works fine with the blue skin in PVRX2 and the old gbpvr.exe, however it only works in gbpvr.exe when I switch to basic skin (which have versions for both the new and the old interface).

I am wondering if there are any files I need to copy to the skin2 directory to make basic skin work for myvideos in pvrx2, because somehow with the blue skin pvrx2 has no problem showing the plugin.

I was trying to use Tim Moore's firestb to set up channel changing on my Motorola DCT6200.

I understand that MCE is needed to RECORD via firewire, but the instructions seemed to imply that channel changing would work w/o MCE.

However, the installer (firestb.msi) quits right at the beginning saying that MCE 2005 is required.

Has anyone setup channel changing w/ non-MCE XP?

Just in case anyone else wrestles with this problem; I couldn't solve this with documentation.

In Vista you need to go and find the channel logo tool application under C:\Program Files, then right-click and say "Run as administrator". If you don't it fails to save the logos to the GB-PVR directory, AND doesn't bother to tell you it failed either...

I just downloaded UltraXMLTV_Enhancer.zip from wiki page and UltraXMLTV_Manager.exe is not part of zip. I also run Install_Manager.bat, as per wiki instructions, it didn't create the exe file either.

Trying to get GBPVR running on my HTPC and have encountered some issues.

I am using the latest version.

Initially when installed, it was exceptionally slow, so, I followed the system requirements and am now fully up to date, SP3 and the other bits required.

Now when I try and run GBPVR, it comes up with a dialogue box saying "Sorry this system does not support VMR9 Video Render".

Now this machine normally runs Meedio and has CoreAVC, FFDShow, DivX and XViD installed and when using Meedio, will play absolutely anything I throw at it.

Any ideas?

I have recently downloaded gbpvr to use to record programs with the idea then to transfer the recordings to my ipod touch. i have found however that my HP Expresscard is not listed in the card type in tuning settings when setting up my tv card. can anyone help me here. ive tried to to use graphedit but had no luck

I know I did this in GBPVR some time ago, but I have not been able to correct the channel info displayed in the TV Guide. I thought I could simply edit the Channel number under the Channels Tab of the config tool. Just change the channell number to the one I want displayed (US channel numbers do not match the actual channel sometimes), but when I click out of the field, the data goes right back to the original value.

I have a ATI HDTV card which does not scan for channels correctly, so I have to hand enter my tuning values manually, so I can not simply rebuild the database. Using SchedulesDirect EPG. Can I edit the database using Access or another tool.

The utility called the Tuning Assistant bundled with GBPVR,Wont pick up my tv card (Compro Video Mate E700 Dual DVB-T ). Beacause of this i can not set my channels ???? HELP :confused:
