I've been a little perplexed that with each upgrade of PVR (or so it seems) I am getting less and less DVB-T channels from the Mendip transmitter.
I decided to open up the 0108.ini file and have a look. I noticed that a lot of the six frequencies listed have digits in the last decimal places. I thought that odd, since the Mendip info (see www.ukfree.tv for Mendip Transmitter) only lists the frequencies as whole MHz.
Lo and behold, I got a lot more channels for my efforts - though not all of those I expected, and not as many as I used to get long ago (TMF and The Hits both sadly missing). One question is: I guessed that the last parameter (was ,8) represents the QAM. If I'm wrong, how do I know what the parameters ,0,0,8 should be?
I downloaded & installed the torrent plugin along with Utorrent and the web interface. I can search and find the torrents but when I click on download nothing happens. Maybe I have the set-up wrong in the config.

Is that how it should look?
Or just the ability to highlight more than one channel at a time. Or maybe it already can do it somehow. This would be for both the channel mapper and for the first tuner screen with the channels.
I've accumulated a ton of extra channels from different EPGs or something, and that's just from OTA. Today I was messing with using a cable EPG for OTA and had to uncheckmark seemingly 500 channels I'm not using. It took literally 10 or 15 minutes of button pressing. Not the worst thing in the world, but a wish.
Is anyone expriencing the same problem that im having installing MpgMux(5.0.0.1307).ax. When using regsvr32 from the command prompt as administrator i get an error message basically saying it couldnt install it. Please help
I'd really like it if I could select a bunch of my personal photos, put them in a directory and point GBPVR at that directory as a special "show photos from this directory". You could add "display in order" or "shuffle" options here.
Then, when you open the app, the scrolling menu is moved to the right (which I think would look nice anyway) and your photos are displayed, fading in and out whenever you leave the app unused for a couple of seconds.
I have a Hauppauge 1600 with composite input from a motorola set top box from Comcast Digital in Chambersburg, PA, Vista x64, Media center remote and Hauppauge remote (both work), and the IR Blasters from the Hauppauge Card and the USB IR Receiver are set up to the motorola STB and I use the s-video output from one of my 8800 GTS's to go to my TV.
Everything work fine in Vista x64's Window Media Center with the exception that while watching a live recording (i.e. I used pause and resume) I sometimes get an error that a file can't be found or stopped working and I have to close Media Center and start it again.
I have everything set up in GBPVR except changing the channels. The other buttons on the remote work by using the Hauppauge IR Service and the MCE receiver device.
I have tried IR Server Suite (the latest RC1 and stable versions) and it crashed on launch of the setup configurantion:
Microsoft Windows - Input Service Configuration has stopped working ... <Debug> <Close Program>
The same thing happens with HIP (Microsoft Windows - Human Interface Programmer has stopped working <Close Program>)
edit: I clicked cancel when HIP crashed and got "runtime error 216 at 00404866"
Started looking into WinLIRC but not sure yet, I mean I already have two IR Receivers (MC Remote and receiver, and Hauppauge Remote and receiver.) I think I should be able to make it work without adding a third one. I don't think they're confilicting because they work fine in Windows Media Center.
Any and all advice will be appreciated (unless you tell me it just can't be done in Vista x64 - jk)
This is a new and clean installation of Vista x64.
edit: Also I occaisionally get a frozen picture and then sound stops on live TV. Here are the logs: I think the driver is locking up due to an application running on my computer because when I restart the computer with a frozen picture on the TV, the video and audio temporarily resumes before shutting down but it wasn't repeatable so I don't know.
...just found out that exiting Live TV mode and clicking it again resumes proper Live TV operation.
I am trying to upgrade to from 1.1.5 to 1.2.13 and I am getting this error at the end of the install and I am not able to open config.exe. I really do not want to do a fresh install.
Ok so I am now using GBPVR in anger to establish whether or not I will stick with it. So far so good.
I have some initial questions I was hoping someone could possibly answer
Screensaver - I do not wish to use the inbuilt screensaver, so, have deselected it. However, the system one (picture slideshow) does not kick in when a video is in pause mode. As I am using a plasma, I must have a screensaver running when paused and the inbuilt one, whilst functional is not quite what I am looking for.
Settings - Running the latest version and when clicking on Settings in the main menu, it flicks to the settings page then immediately back to the main menu. It did not do this on the previous version.
Aspect Ratios - I am used to Meedio where you can select an alternative Aspect Ratio whilst a video is playing, and it could switch between many different ratios. I note with GBPVR you can only select 2 aspect ratios and not whilst a video is playing. Unless I am missing something?
Net Radio - Whichever channel I select it shows buffering at the top of the page, switching between a URL, back and forth but, never eactually plays anything.
Music - Are there any visualisations? Naturally if the external screensaaver would kick in then this would not be an issue.
Skins - I cannot seem to locate a set of skins or how to load them if I could find them. Again, perhaps I am missing something?
Youtube - This no longer appears on the main menu, even though it is ticked in the Plugins configuration menu.
Directory View Modes - It appears that when switching modes say whilst browsing for video's, there is a particular mode which would display a picture for that folder. i have added JPG's into said folders and still no picture appears whilst browsing.
Ok I think that is about it. Overall a very good product, far easier to configure than previous front ends I have tried, just hoping the above can be resolved
Ok, I have gbpvr running with MVP and we use digital cable, the cable comes with (on its own menu) music videos and pay per view, im wondering what might be the best way to have gbpvr running and be able to get to the cable menus and not have a delay, I realize maybe the live tv mode but how could I do this using MVP, I also am using the MX-500 remote which might be able to multi task this function, I'd hate to loose all these extras........
