I installed the lastest version and GB-PVR wroks, but PVR-X2 does not. Checked the log and it gives the following error

ive been trying to manually add qam channels that scan doesnt pickup using the information from my stb diagnostic info but im not sure how or where info goes.
i can see in this
T:80,1,4~P:4~V:1016~A:1017~PMT:1015~PCR:1016~N:>1.4 WNBC-HD* (000(AC3))
that program is 4, video is 1016, audio is 1017 but i dont know what the rest is T:80,1,4 pmt pcr etc..
i tried editing qam.ini using the frequency in this picture 561 and putting 250 to it making an entry in qam.ini 561250 and then scanning but it didnt find anything. is it possible to use the info from diagnostics and add the channels manually ?
ive also tried all different qam.ini filesa round with no luck

When I go to change the TV Channel display settings in config.xml, it will crash PVRX2 every time. Would like to have the channel number and Name both displayed.

I know I need to change it, but how do I go about it without crashing the whole program?

I recently got an HVR1250 which is working great. However, I record Bob the Builder for my son off PBS. Apparently they have embedded a voice over as one of the AC3 channels I don't know how to determine which channel. Is there any way to control which parts of the audio gets recorded. I would like to record (really just be able to playback) just the normal audio.

I have just bought a Nova t500 card (dual tuner) and installed it with only the drivers from the Hauppage website. Then I installed gbpvr v13 - I have read that the wintv app is poor and gbpvr is good.

I have linked my music folders and can hear music through gbpvr but when I try live tv I get a stuttery picture and no sound. I have a dual x3800 chip, xt1900 card and when I run gbpvr, cpu usage is at 10%. AMD dual optimiser is running and affinity is set to a single processor. Logs are attached. I also dont get any EPG info for the scanned channels

Sorry to be a first post burden but I'm lost here.

I am in the uk about 8 miles from transmitter (Leeds)

The only thing which is now stopping me getting rid of Sky+ and using GBPVR exclusively is that I can watch Sky+ on any TV in the house. How can I get the picture from GBPVR distributed to my other TVs? I'm guessing I need some sort of UHF modulator? Is anyone else here (in the UK) doing this already?

GBPVR 1.2.13 Windows XP-MCE 2005 new user with new installation HVR-1600.

When I'm at the guide and select a program, then select "Watch," it goes to live TV and all I see is a black screen. I have to tune up or down a channel to get a Live TV signal.

Logs are attached (now removed as I found answer) from a session that includes three times going from guide to live TV back to guide on three different channels without issuing a change channel request, followed by a fourth time going from guide to live TV (at this point no signal yet) then changing channel up once to fifth channel (signal appears) then down once (signal remains and shows original fourth channel).
Here is a relevant part of the logs, showing the last two tuning requests. The logs have no other tuning request. The first "old tuning request" is for the fourth channel, which was not displaying.

I see:

AHA!!! That looks useful - tried changing to "true" in config.xml - that solves it!

I can now get live TV to display directly from the guide.

(This post changed from a query to just posting the answer as I wrote it - might as well leave the answer for others).

Here is a part of the log showing the tuning request for 4 to 5 then back to 4 - it's not as interesting as the BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnLivePreview true/false log entry above.

I am wondering if PVRX2 functions the same way as the old interface when it comes to a missing skin for a plugin. The old interface would revert to the blue version on the fly, PVRX2 seems to not be able to do that and instead does not display the plugin.

I just installed the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 on my PC running Vista 32 Home Premium and while the included WinTV works reasonable well, I wanted to give GB-PVR a try, but I'm having nothing but trouble!!

When I run PVRX2 I can't seem to get anything to work. I did run Config and managed to get it to scan for the clear QAM channels on my syetem (Verizon FiOS) and it indeed found 190 channels. However whenever I go into PVRX2 and try to click on Live TV all I get is a flash and nothing happens. This is the same thing that happened even before I was able to scan for channels. Worst yet when I go to TV Guide it freezes and I have to abort it. Granted I told it not to get any EPG but still it should not freeze!!

Am I missing something? How do I get plain old Live TV to work?

Also, I have a set-top-box hooked into the composite input of the tuner so I can get all the other channels but I'm at a loss as to how to set up GB-PVR to access that.

However my priority is to get Live TV to work so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
