My MVP now works flawlessly, however I would like to convert my Divx, Xvid files to play natively on MVP. Using transcoding strains the CPU. I have when I remembered copied the output MPG and this then plays fine in future, however I would like to convert any movie played so that they will then play on the MVP natively next time. Is there a way to automatically save the output as opposed overwriting it each time?

Ok, I just bought the wireless MediaMVP from Hauppauge, can it run any program from the pc or does it have to be just gbpvr I.E. windows media player or and .exe file ?
Hi Peoples, I've just found GBPVR to my surprise works with both the analog and digital portions of my Hybrid tuner. I really want a program that can record from my TV Tuners S-Video input, and this one looks great.... But......
I cannot seem to find a way to select Composite/SVideo pins and inputs/outputs or view their inputs?
Is there a way to preview the SVideo or Composite Inputs?]
I can preview the analog TV channels using the Tuner assistant, so i know they do work, but how do i preview or see S-Video or Composite?
It seems if i do not have an analog channel set in config, Live TV just sits there doing nothing, when clicked....And if i have both Digital and Analog, how do i switch from Digital to analog, while in the "Live TV" area?
Hi, I have a PVR-150 already, and looking at buying a 2nd tuner. I am thinking HVR-1600... I really don't see the use of a PVR-150 since all of it's features seem to be in the HVR-1600, and a lot more. I am still wondering why they even sell PVR-150s... same price or pretty close. Am I missing something here?
2nd part of the question is: I use the IR blaster that came with the PVR-150. Will this IR blaster be working when i use the HVR-1600, or do i need a seperate IR blaster for the 1600? (I know, i only have 1 set top box... i still just want to find out if the ir blaster can be used by both cards anyways, even if it's plugged into the pvr-150 card).
Just a couple of small things that I think could improve things for a lot of users, and to be honest myself!
1) When navigating a video folder with many videos in it there is no easy way to jump to the first letter of a video name. It would be nice if I could press a letter on my keyboard or a button on the remote to jump from A to B to C etc.
2) When watching episodes of TV shows it would be nice if I could select the episode to start playing from then after that episode finished the next one started playing automatically (sort of a playlist type setup).Adding further to this would be an option to remember the last file played from a folder so next time I navigated to that folder the selected file is the last one played not the first one in the list. This would be so useful as I quite often forget what episode number I last watched.
3) Is there still no way to move forward through the TV Guide using a mouse only? If not this would be a useful function.
4) I use the encoding to XVID option to save space on my hdd which is useful but I would like to see a slight change to this on the config tab so that after encoding the file can be moved to another location and then the database updated to reflect this. The reason being I have a 250gb HDD in my GBPVR machine but I also run an 'UnRaid' RAID data server hosting 3tb of storage and I would like to move the encoded recordings to a folder on that machine. There are two reasons for this, first of all space but also the machine runs RAID so has less chance of data loss and losing my recordings. Maybe on the directories tab of the config an option for a directory for encoded recordings. I would imagine quite a few people run separate data storage towers or NAS devices.
I like the way covers are shown for directories in music library and video library, but when you're inside a directory and have the .. or one of the songs in the directory highlighted a big blank shows if there is no individual art (song_name.jpg) for that song. It would be nice if when there is no individual song art the folder.jpg would be displayed if it exists.
Probably a dumb question but will everyone in UK receiving freesat from Astra have the same SCAN-1.cache file or will the frequencies/values be different?
If they are the same as seems to be hinted at with people posting entries then is there a good source for a full set that might be posted here? Or a link to such a source. I seem to be having problems locking on to a few channels and various searches haven't helped.
