I have installed GBPVR to work with a wired mediaMVP and cannot watch LiveTv streams at all. I finally got to the point where I can display the TV guide but that is all. When I select Watch from the TV guide the screen goes dark, then returns to the main menu.
I have attached the logs in a .zip file if anyone could advise me where I need to look further. The only reason I have got as far as I did is because of this forum and the wiki.
I'm having trouble playing DVDs from the plugin. Also, I have ripped movies in the Video Library that act the same. (Both play fine from Media player)
The video works fine, but the remote controls are limited and No audio.
Usually I find the solution looking through the previous posts but those didn't work.
(changing the settings in the DVD tab to match the Playback tab, etc.)
I wondered if there is a way to edit the config.xml to use the Windows Media center or Windows media player. (Vista Ultimate edition). For now, I have Vista setup to launch Media center from a DVD (it actually does work well), but I'd rather keep everything within GBPVR (cause it rules!).

Is there a problem with padding in the current version (1.2.13) or some limit to the number of minutes allowed? I have a reocurring show that varies it's time by a couple of minutes each day. I have manual recording (not using the EPG since it doesn't reflect true show time) set for 13:30 to 14:00 with 3 minute pre-padding and 6 minutes post-padding. All it records is 13:30 to 14:00. Any ideas / suggestions?

Hey sub and all. I'm new to the GBPVR forum, but I've been trying to get GBPVR to run on my HTPC for the last two months with no luck and this thread is my problem! I had the old .9 version and just upgraded with the new .13 and it still crashes when I try to scan for channels. So, I've had it crashing on me with both versions. I have a Haupaugge HVR 1600. I thought I had it narrowed down to my mobo as my card works in any other system, but the same thing happened with a new mobo. I have Win XP SP3. I would love to know a resolution to this issue.
Oh, I should add as well that I've installed Vista on another hard drive and had the same results and issues, so I don't think it is a driver issue. Again, the card and driver works just fine in other win xp and vista systems
since the launch of Freesat UK I've not been able to scan channels E4 and More4 to run successfully in GBPVR. They appear in my scan but no ball when playing them. I know most seem to have them successfully and a couple of peeps haven't.
I had this problem with v1.2.9 which I'm currently using due to other config issues with v1.2.13
With my Nova S(2) Card and WinTV they play no problem.
I have an 80 MB ts grab on their frequency (both on same) and would love to resolve this.

Installed current version on a fresh install of W2K SP4. H/W is Via Epia MII 10000 with Hauppauge Nova-T 500 (which is seen in Linux on same H/W). Config doesn't load EPG when I select the board manually. If I try to tick the box for only boards detected it comes up with a dialog box after a couple of second saying that no boards could be found.
Is there any way to make the remote that came with my PVR150 and HVR1600 cards work on a client PC? If not, is there a relatively cheap (25-50 USD) solution that I could use instead?
got the beta version up and running - client and server both working straight out the box. Many thanks - all the hard work paid off!
Because it says it won't work on the client and the server at the same time, the first thing I did was to try and run it on both to see what happened (Im the kind of guy that just can't help pressing the big red button marked 'don't push'). Of course it eventually crashed both machines - but in the process I came up with a possible work around (until a full multi instance version is released ) - would it be feasible to instigate some sort of clone mode on the client whereby the radio buttons are disabled, but it can play back the mp3 being generated on the server so at least you can have radio in both rooms, even if it's the same channel and controlled from one room only? That's basically what I get if I hit play on both machines and leave it alone - it obviously doesn't like being controlled from two locations simultaneously or told to play two different stations at once (that's what crashed them).
EDIT: so now i'm trying to use the plugin 'properly' and just to let you know it all works wonderfully on the client OR the server. My only request would be some kind of logic to prevent button presses on the other machine (either way round) being recognized to avoid any lock-ups and keep the WAF up.
ps The wiki states that the client only works in file sharing mode - mine's set to streaming in the main gbpvr config and on first inspection seems to work fine. Is this just good luck, or do you mean that just the dvbt plugin is working in file sharing mode?
Hi I was wondering if anybody was able to get the sound to work for videoh in live tv; if I start recording by hitting pause & play the sound comes in but if I change the channel, again no sound. Sound works good with windvr but gbpvr is way superior to it & if possible would like to use it.
it seems the YUV Mixing mode isn't being turned on before the graph is connected, thereby not gaining a considerable hardware boost available with this option..
i have VMRPreferYUVMixing set to true in config..
using ffdshow tray menu, i looked at the filter while it was running and mixing mode wasn't turned on...
[it has to be turned on before even connecting it up, it warns with msg if you use graphedit]
i have made graphs that work with it on and it seems to work wonders..
i believe that's why mediaplayer classic works so well and different than gbpvr sometimes...
