Is there a way to either make 2 separate entries in the guide for each channel so i can compare QAM with OTA channels, using my 1600 and 950
I use yapi to get my epg, i used a completely different instance of yapi to pull new epg data and had it put in a different folder with a different name, i also used the renumbering feature so that i would have different channel numbers, but they never showed up, and when i recored a show that was mapped to both the 1600 and 950 it did make a recording but using the OTA signal, but it was under the orignal channel number, so the renumbering didnt work as i had hoped.
I looked in config under channels and the renumbered channes existed there but not in the guide.
So now for the questions:
Does anyone know if you can have 2 separate channel numbers for the same channel but each linked to the tuner you want and how would i do this with the above EPG source.
Hi, been trying to get dvb-t radio working for a while now, last version got as far as scanning for channels and stopped.
Using latest beta scan works and channels come up ok but when i play no audio plays.
I have lame decoder installed but reading logs it says cannot find lame encoder, odd, it is registered ok as gspot shows it listed ok.
It is the latest beta of lame.
Also installed mpa decoder but still no sound.
A few errors show up in logs but i can't suss the problem so i've zipped the logs and hope you can figure out the problem.

I just got hold of an lcd monitor with hdmi so I thought I would move it over.
I can see the popcorn and I can use telnet, but once I try to start GBPVR the screen just stays black.

my remote (philips srm7500) guide button doesn't work in GBPVR (if i have media center services running (as if i want to) and the etray thing, then the media center guide opens - have disabled anyway).
is it possible to sort any other keys out to do this? I can't use HIP with this remote - haven't tried girder, although not hopeful as is not MCE/IR.
am resigned to being unable to view the mini guide during live tv playback (which is 100 times better in GBPVR than VMC) but would like to...
is there an option to display the mini guide on channel change then i can scroll through?
I decided to write down the steps I've just gone through doing a fresh install just now. How I WISH this had existed a few months ago!
Requirements:
Download of "CD Digital V4.0A" - a complete set of Hauppauge device drivers (can't remember where it comes from, but it's somewhere on the Hauppauge myriad of websites)
and of course - a computer, GBPVR, Windows XP/MCE/Vista etc
Steps:
If you want to, uninstall Hauppauge drivers and software using C:\CD Digital V4.0A\hcwclear.exe
Install drivers using *:\CD Digital V4.0A\HcwDriverInstall.exe
... cancel Windows "found hardware" dialogs, the installer will do everything.
Run SatelliteFix.exe
Install IR remote app using *:\CD Digital V4.0A\setup.exe
Install GBPVR
When config starts, stop and set up the EPG:
Copy djkxml.exe to C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\epg\djkxml.exe (or wherever)
Run it, choose your channels you want it to get program info and descriptions for
Click Save and close the EPG config app
Run djkxml.exe again. It should download the stuff
Wait for it to finish (might take a while)
... you want it to be finished before you do the EPG stuff below (I think)
Back in GBPVR config:
Setup the Recording Source as Digital Recording Plugin
In settings/BDA Device configuration:
Device type is Hauppauge HVR-3000 (DVB-S)
Region/Transmitter = Optus D1 (NZ FTA)
LNB LOF1 = 11300
LNB Switch = 0
LNB LOF2 = 11300
Powered = Y
DiSEqC = NONE (in my case anyway)
Back in Edit Recording Source:
Change EPG source to DVB EPG Broadcast
Click Empty EPG (if desired)
Click Update EPG and allow the process to finish
Click Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels
Click Rescan (or it may scan by itself..?)
Click "Enabled" on the channels you want to have present in GBPVR
... should roughly match the channels you chose for EPG info downloads,
... but I figure it's ok not to be downloading info for Parliament TV, stratos
... and a few others that weren't present in djkxml
Click OK
Change EPG source from DVB EPG Broadcast to XLMTV plugin
Click settings and browse to your XML file created above.
Set up other options in config as desired.. mine has Overlay Manager for PVRX2 Video Renderer, VMR7 for GBPVR.exe Renderer (I'm using both as I try and get my PC working with PVRX2 correctly,) System Default for each of the options under MPEG-2 Playback, and Microsoft DVR-MS for BDA Multiplexer (I used to have MainConcept in there .. not sure how to get it back?)
... ok that's how I thought it should go, however my EPG in GBPVR is empty. I have done this successfully a few times before, so I'm sure I'll get it, but can anyone see where I went wrong?
Instead of a screen saver it would be nice to have an option to move the display slighty or automatically scroll the menu occasionally to avoid burn in. Some plazmas as especially prone to it, I accidentally left mine on an had "tv guide" slightly burn in, although it has faded a fair bit now.
Have just got a new pc with the above and despite having installed GBPVR many a time am struggling with this one. When I map channels (Am using dvb epg) it scans the frequencies much too quickly although the preview window does show one or two channels in the process. No channels are actually found though when it finishes and as I said what would normally take about 2 minutes to scan takes about 20 seconds. Unfortuantely I'm not at home so will have to wait till tonight to attach logs but in meantime anyone have any ideas?
