I was wondering how GB understands conflicts in hyrbid cards. For example assume I have a dual hyrbrid capture card with D+D or D+A or A+A support. If I set up 4 capture sources (2 analogue + 2 digital), can GB understand tuner conflicts when attempting to select the 3rd tuner when the first two are already in use.
Are there any tricks to the setup?:confused:
If not, is there a workaround solution?
or am I limited to 2 capture sources = 1st tuner is digital + 2nd tuner is analogue
I own a wireless and wired MVP. The wireless seems to stream video and audio nice and smooth, but that of the wired not so much. Anyone have any ideas of what is causing this to happen? Please help. Thank you!
since upgrading to ffox 3 the vlc server control 'buttons' are now showing the wrong charachters. It used to have special charachters for fwd, play, pause etc - now i'm just getting 9 7 < 4 ; 8 :
Similarly the three buttons for server control when using the embedded vlc player are now < 4 ;
any idea what might have happened?
I've left the previous v1.2 release available for the time being.
This new version now uses a Windows Service instead of the Dvbtr.exe process (please read the instructions for installing the service). It also supports using a GB-PVR client machine (file sharing mode ONLY).
Not much else has changed but I'm keen for people to give this a try. It's the version that I'm currently running on my machine and it appears to be stable (with the occasional minor hiccup ).

I don't know which logs to post, but I'll post my steps to duplicate the error.
Load a playlist. Let gbpvr go into screen saver and a few songs go by. Make it come out of screen saver by pressing up or back. I get an exception. The songs keep playing though, but everytime I hit exit to exit out of ML, i get an exception and can't get out. I also can't stop the music.
let me know which logs to post. I also hope they have not been rotated out.
Your software looks great. It seems to be almost exactly what I was looking for, except for one little problem. My TV is actually a third monitor on my computer. When I make gbpvr go into full screen mode it will only go full screen on my first monitor. It would be great if there was a way to make it go full screen on a second or third monitor.
Another feature that would be nice would be the ability to choose what sound card should be used when there is more than one sound card in a computer. I have a second sound card for my tv output.
Help. Maybe I made a mistake. Its my first time using GBPVR, and I bought a USB tuner card that isn't yet configured for support. I bought the AverMedia Volar Max.
The tuner works if I use the AverMedia application (QAM and analog cable). I got it working in MediaCenter to receive analog from my cable provider. I want to set it up on GBPVR to get Analog and unecrypted QAM.
I went to graphedit (See attached screen shot), and I found the Wiki directions somewhat lacking. I came up with the following config lines that I added to bda.ini:

I don't understand how I was suppose to chose the
[Conexant BDA DVB-T]
or if this was just an arbitrary description. How do you know what tunner_type to choose? Do I need to add a lines to file: direct.ini?
GBPVR config allows me to choose what I added to bda.ini under digital tuner. I have imported my EPG. When I click on Map digital channels button in the config I get the error GBPR was unable to initialize the BDA device. If I launch PVRX2 not much works with respect to the TV features.
