I have to restart the Recording service about every 3 days. you don't notice anything is wrong until you see that it skipped recordings. The "Pending" list will show upcoming recordings for dates that have passed already. When I exit GBPVR and restart the recording service, and go back into GBPVR, those entries in Pending are gone, and it will be fine for a while.
What logs should I look at? Here is the end of GBPVRRecordingService.exe-3.log which is around the time i suspect it stopped last:

Thoughts on why the updater crashes when trying to d/l trailers? It gets as far as downloading text-based info (or appears to when I watch the command line window) but crashes when it gets to the trailers.
I'm running GBPVR 1.0.16 (because it works for me and PVRX2 doesn't) but the plug-in is the latest rev - just installed it. The Common GBPVR Utilities dll is version 3.0.2563.37655.
I have a bit an issue with the Season recording setting and back-to-back aired episodes.
FYI my setup has a PVR-500 and thus two codes.
The situation is this:
- channel 1 airs back-to-back two episodes of a series I want to record; I only need the first one, but I can't set GB-PVR to do that, so I record both which is no biggie; because it's back-to-back there is overlap between episodes and I need two tuners
- now channel 2 also airs a series that I'd like to record at the same time
Problem 1: when I also program channel 2 to record, GB-PVR doesn't give a conflict error, despite that I need three tuners (keeping the overlap on channel 1 in mind); it turns out channel 2 now only starts to record after the first episode on channel 1 (and the overlap) is finished
Problem 2: can I set GB-PVR so it'll only record the first episode on channel 1 and not the second; I tried exporting the records and adapting the timeframe to exclude episode two, but I can't get it imported again
I have just got my 2nd PCH and planned to set it up for my living room. However, I need to have a separate config for that setup since I do not have any more HDMI on my TV (have to run component instead).
I hope this is possible but I was not sure how to do the startup scriot since I need one setting for analog and one for HDMI. My other first setup uses HDMI.
I will then ofcourse autostart a 2nd server and add a section in config.xml.
As a test, I set two Manual Recordings this morning (not using EWA), one from 9:00am to 9:10am and one from 9:10 to 9:20.
Neither one recorded. They're still in the Pending queue.
Also, I also have two shows in the Conflicts queue. Neither one recorded because the shows had already been aired when I mistakenly set up the recordings, but the point is that I see no way to remove them from the queue. They don't appear in "Pending" or any other queue.
My logs are attached (except for PVRX2.exe-native-1.log which exceeds the size limitation). Thanks.

I updated to the latest GBPVR v1.2.13 and noticed my Hauppauge remote now does skip instead FF/RW. How do I get it back to FF/RW? I read in the GBPVR Wiki the following:
The remote buttons are, for the most part, self explanatory
when used with GB-PVR. However, there are a few differences.
For example, GB-PVR does not implement the Mute button. The
skip forward and skip backwards buttons are setup to skip 60s
and 30s, respectively, but this can be configured as you like
in the config.xml file. In addition, you can use the numbered
buttons to input a time in minutes, then hit the skip button
to skip ahead that amount of time. The number buttons can also
be used to input a TV channel number as well for navigating
menus. E.g., if you hit the 4 button, it will jump to the 4th
item in the menu.
Is it really just a matter of editing the config.xml file and if so, what line do I change?

I have 3 Freecom DVB-T sticks and things have been running pretty smoothly for the last few months but last week recordings started to fail. I found that if I tuned to BBC1 it said that there was no signal.
I did a rescan and many channels including all the main BBC channels could not be found. This morning I tried again after many attempts and one of the sticks picked up BBC1 but again 'no signal' when I tried to play it.
I installed TotalMedia 3.5 as a test, and that IS picking up all the channels including the BBC.
I'm kind of perplexed at this point! I have attached my log files.

OK, I know gbpvr doesn't support multiple servers (yet ), but I use my normal client machine as a test system and it currently has a DVB-S tuner in it that won't as yet fit in the PVR server.
I have been temporarily switching servers for the PCH by changing the number of mvp/nmt devices between 0 and 1 on the main and test machines.
I see from --help with mvpmcx2 that --emulate has an ip address as an argument, I've not seen much mention of this, but could it be used to force the PCH to talk to different servers, both running with mvp/nmt set to 1 or more? If so then my telnet script thingie could pick the server. (runs from HD at present).
No urgency or anything about this, it's just that Wimbledon is on DVB-S HD and 'her indoors' wanted to see it that way..........
I need help. First some background and a confession.
The background . . . I have been using GBPVR for many years now; I remember back before the GBPVR097 versions. It has always worked well for me. I ran it on a Sempron 3000 box and in later versions of GBPVR, the playback has been getting worse so I decided to spend some money thinking that the hardware was running out of puff.
I bought a PVR500 card and an AMD dual core 5000+ 2.6GHz, 2G RAM. I have a NVIDIA GeForce MX 4000 card. I am running XP pro SP3 and have read through lots of posts. I have also replaced the quartz.dll.
My confession is that in the mean time I tried Mythbuntu, but came back to GBPVR. Sorry sub.
Now media player V9 replays perfectly as does VLC. However when I play recordings and videos via GBPVR and get crappy stuttery performance. I understand that GBPVR asks directdx (or similar) to play video. As I have all the config settings on default, why is this not working?
I also have a wife who has been watching quietly from a distance and is asking why nothing is working.
