I recently updated to 1.2.13 and can now not get in to the Settings Menu.

When I try from the Main Menu it briefly flashes up but then returns to the main menu.

(I'm a newbie here but have tried to follow the guidelines and have attached the log files. PVRX2.exe.log seems to show an error at the end.)

Problem is...there isn't any! I've wiped the systems...reloaded xp from scratch, loaded the hdhomerun software, then followed the guide to install and configure gbpvr. Got the epg stuff right and channels mapped ok..(i think). I can record shows through gbpvr, but when I go to play them back the screen just "flashes" black then returns to the menu. I also can not watch live tv through gbpvr but can through the hdhomerun software. I'm pretty sure it's a decoder problem so in an effort to resolve I've installed ffdshow and that did not solve the problem either. Attached are the log files...

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

I just upgraded to 1.2.13. I was using gbpvr.exe previously. Now with pvrx2, I've got problems with the audio and video not staying in sync. Is this due to pvrx2 being too beefy for my hardware? What can I do to improve performance?

I've seen posts about extracting SRT files while recording, but I'm actually interested in watching AVI movies with SRTs I've downloaded. Is it possible? I usually put the AVI and the SRT under the same folder with same names (except for file type). Tried it, but GB-PVR didn't recognize it.

Since switching to using version 1.2.13 I started to get audio codec issues in live preview mode; initially the video and sound would be fine, but after a few seconds I'd start to see stuttery video, broken sound or no sound at all. Switching to use AC3Filter fixed the problem on my desktop machine but the best I get on my media PC is broken sound after a minute or two before it eventually disappears completely and then I also start to get stuttery video.

Using time-shift mode fixes the sound problem with both PCs but introduces another - on previous versions of GBPVR when the TV guide indicated a new programme had started, the video would stutter and pause for a few moments before stabilising, but on the new, current version, the video goes blank from a few moments, the picture then returns but without sound. I can sometimes fix the lack of sound by changing channel and then changing back again. But sometimes changing channel will cause PVRX2 to freeze instead and I have to kill using the task manager instead. Changing channel at other times doesn't seem to cause a problem.

The previous versions of GBPVR didn't have these sound problems - although I did skip a few releases to get to the current version - but I'd prefer not to have to roll-back to an older version because I love some of the new features in the latest release.

I guess my questions are why am I getting sound problems in Live preview mode but not in time-shift mode and has anyone else seen problems like mine with time-shift mode around TV guide programme changes?

Anyone else having problems with XMLTV GUI and getting RadioTimes listings recently? Just tried to update the guide and its dead for me - nothings changed on my system to my knowledge.

Hmmm any one herd of this problem?

when GBPVR tries to update the tv guide thru the DJKXML grabber
it fails and produces a not a Valid Win32 application

Any Ideas GBPVR has been working flawlessly for months updating recording etc

systemshark and I have been working on a Torrents plugin for GB-PVR. Lots more features are planned but I think it's time to ask for volunteers to try out a pre-release version. The idea is to have a larger pool of people to do some testing, but it's mostly about getting some general feedback and user suggestions.
