Been lurking for a while and like the look of GB-PVR and have gone ahead and purchased a FloppyDTV Satellite device.
However, I am also looking at a NMT like device for my DVD collection and LiveTV. Now from what I have read the Popcorn Hour can be used against the GB-PVR? Could I use the port on other devices such as the Tvix range, eGreat EG-M31A, etc?
I am thinking of purchasing a HVR-2200 for use in my GB system. I already have a Nova-T-500 and PVR-150. In particular, I need another analogue input, but the additional digital tuners would be helpful. Are there any limitations with these cards as they apply to GB? How does this card compare with the tried and tested DVB-T-500 or the PVR-150/PVR-500 cards. Can you record analogue and digital at the same time?

I'm guessing that they/you use a different method of skipping forwards and backwards than used on the MVP?
Most noticeable on recordings from terrestrial DVB-T broadcasts where on the MVP skipping was very erratic, often a forward skip taking it backwards. The only cure being something like an audio fix from VideoRedo.
However, with the PCH, it "just seems to work". Unless, that is, the broadcasters have changed something
I have installed GBPVR in the past and the old UI would function but not the new UI. My computer specs meet the min. requirements. Pentium D 2.66Ghz. 1 GB ram, XP Pro SP3, .Net 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, vcredist_x86.zip installed before installing GB-PVR v1.2.13.
Video capture via Vbox Cat's Eye 164e w/ latest drivers installed. (Worked under trial of SageTV)
When running the MUX checker I get the following error:
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.
GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have WinXP SP1 or higher, which has a built-in DVR-MS mux filter. :confused:
When I try to start PVRX2 I get the outline of the Window which can be moved but nothing is painted in the window. The background will move inside the window like a snapshot. I'm not sure where to go from here.
Does this newer version support Time Shifting?
I thought the earlier gbpvr gui had it, it just never worked for me I figured.
Just thought it would be easier to query in here. I know in the MCE It stores like a 30minute shift backward. I see you can pause and watch like that but I did not notice if I could just rewind live tv to review something I missed.
With or without it GBPVR is still miles ahead of mce! mce will never be near it with MS's dvr video format annoyances etc
I just wanted to thank you for a product that works even better that the apps that ship with tuners. I just purchased an AverMedia H788 hybrid card and even after grabbing the latest versions of all of their apps this card never finds a QAM channel in Aver Media Center. However after adjusting the BDA.INI file for QAM tuning on this chipset GBPVR found over 50 channels... some were empty of course, but the others had a clear image.
I have installed GBPVR and have configured my HVR2200 to use both DVB-T tuners and there working fine for NZ FreeviewHD when I start the program, however I have no sound on any of the channels, I also have no sound on video clips or MP3s, all the options under Playback are set to system defaults except the h.264 decoder which is set to PowerDVD.
I also have DVBveiwer installed and I have sound on all FreeviewHD NZ channels with that program.
I can also play MP3s in other media programs and also my videos have sounds in all other media apps except GBPVR, anyone have any ideas on whats causeing this.
