I have problems playing my TV3 DVB-T recordings. The sound stutters and skips at various points. TV2 recordings seem to be fine.

With GPU hardware acceleration, my CPU is not a problem at about 12% so I think its a problem with the aac encoding. I'm using monogram 0.9.5.0.

Other than TV2 transmitting at 720p and TV3 at 1080i, does anyone know if their audio is different?

I can't get a new 1.2.13 client install to work on my laptop. I've another client PC installed and running fine with a Nvidia GPU but this one has an ATI one (Mobility Radeon X1300).

I checked that the file shares are fine and I can play the dvr-ms recordings with Media Player but when I tried to play them with pvrx2 the logs say:-

System.MissingMethodException: Method not found

I get the same error when trying to play any local files too (eg. mpg, avi, ts...etc)

Has anyone encountered this before?

I tried out the GBPVR yesterday and got it working, nice GUI and rather quick, but not as responsive that I had expected.

I use DVB-T and when changing channels I get no "Buffering" but I do get resolution changes, I will try to explain.

I have the GBPVR GUI set to 720p and my PCH set to 1080p, when I am in the GBPVR GUI the ouput is 720p but when the videostreaming of live tv begins it changes to 1080p. That is how it should be. I can see on the tv that every time i change a channel it will switch back to 720p and then back again to 1080p only for a very short period and I never see the "Buffering screen.

Will try to set the MVPMCX2 to 1080p instead of 720p and see if that is more smoother.

Now for the problem, I am using MDAPI plugins (NCSclient) for my encrypted channels. It works fine on the PC with the client software but not on the PCH using streaming. Whenever selecting an encrypted channel I do get the "Buffering" and then nothing...

I'm pretty new to GBPVR, almost got it configured and working correctly. Looks great.

The PC is a 3.2Ghz dual core 1Gb ram on board graphics.

When watching live TV one of the cores of the processor is running at 100%. The other core is working but not straining. This causes stuttering etc in the playback.

One option would be to get a video card that handles the H.264 well, hopefully reducing the load on the cpu.

I'm not into games and have never needed anything other than on board graphics.

Any suggestions on a card?

What are the minimum specs for a GBPVR server that would be used to record and serve up recordings to a say 2 clients.

Is there any way top configure this for multiple listings? I use MCEEPGDownloader for one ste of listings and it uses the new tag. But I use zap2it for my locals and it has a previously aired tag. The MCEEPGDownloader listings are working but the zap2it ones are failing. Any way to get both of the working?

I like to browse through my video files, clips made from the digital cam, but the names are always cryptic... Also, try as I might to get the name of the directory to be semi-specific, ie. Ray Birthday Party 08, I still will end up with shots not taken at the birthday party...

Sometimes I find a great video, but good luck finding it later...

So, a tagging utility that would let you create a list of tags in the Config program (or through the plugin UI) then allow you to tag files, photos or video, accordingly. Now let me view pictures/videos and tag them as I view. Once tagged, then you could view by tag and sort or group by date. So if you created a 'Kids Soccer' tag, when you filter by that tag, you could sort by date so that you could see 2007 soccer files and 2008 soccer files... easier to pick out.

The ability to apply multiple tags would be great (Think the tag Favorite in the tag Kids Soccer for the highlight moments!). There's a bunch more things I could think of here, but if anyone is interested in taking this on...

My programming skills are rusty, but I'm not short of ideas and I'm a pretty decent beta tester too...

I've been running with a Hauppauge 250 and a 1600 for over a year now with very few problems.

When I recently updated MSN_XMLTV_scraper to V.63, the channel names disappeared. I ended up going back to yapi2xml. The channel names are back, but the 1600 analog tuner doesn't record anything (digital is fine as well as the 250).

Based on various posts here, I tried deleting and reinstalling all of the capture sources - the 1600 analog is still down (it appears to be recording, but a zero length mpeg file is created). I've deleted the 1600 analog capture source until I have something else to try for a fix.

Hi,

ZSnes is running fine, I have it set to 640x480 DR F. When it enters ZSnes it changes resolution, but returning to GBPVR the resolution doesn't change back so the screen is crowded to the top of the screen. Exiting GBPVR and re-entering cures the problem, but I don't want to have to do that. How can I cure this?

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked in the past. I did search the forum and did not find any solution.

I have a Wintv-pvr usb2 by Hauppage. It is an external device. On the computer I have an ATI video card. I have HD-Directv receiver. I can watch tv using my WinTV2000 that comes with Hauppage. However when I use PVRX2 i can get the channel guide but no picture or audio. Certain channels have snowy black background. In searching the forum there were many request for a log file to troubleshoot. Since I am a newbie please be very specific in your request if you need me to post some the log files.

What am I doing wrong? I ran the MuxChecker and he is the results.

No Multiplexer filters where found on your machine. GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have Win XP SP1 or higher, which has a built in DVR-MS mux filter.

I do have WinXP Service Pack 2 installed on my machine.

So I have tried everything to get rid of the Stutter I have in GBPVR when viewing over the air HD/Digital channels. Ive tried a huge number of different codecs, both audio/video. Ive formatted 3-4 times already trying different things and it just wont go away.

On the flip side I decided to try a couple of other programs including Sage TV and Beyond TV and I dont have this problem with either of these programs. My HD with both is crisp and clear.

I would prefer not to go with either of these programs. I dont like the way Sage TV works. I do like Beyond TV but it doesnt have the media abilities that GBPVR has with movies and such. Not to mention the cost involved.

Has anyone run into a similar problem and found a fix? Its just wierd to me that it seems to be GBPVR specific.
