I am still trying to set up GB-PVR (Version 1.2.13) for the first time.

Currently, nothing appears on the TV Guide, either on the "app" version or the online version. However, the "Search Guide" function will correctly locate upcoming shows.

I'm using Windows XP and ScheduleDirect.

First, I have been using GBPVR for over a year - thanks for a great bit of software.

Just have a slight problem after upgrading to v1.2.13 when I try to play DVD's off my hard disk (used DVD Decrypter to get them there) it will not render the video, instead it will return to the menu - the audio from the DVD will continue to play unless exiting GBPVR or playing live TV.

Once I play a DVD from the DVD menu/DVD drive and then go back and play a DVD off the hard disk it will work no problems until the HTPC is rebooted.

I'm using the PowerDVD 7 codecs.

Never used to be a problem until I moved to the new version.

I've googled my butt off out there to find the answer but I can't seem to find it.

My "problem" is this:

When I attach my media center to my (crt) TV via s-video (or composite) then, the shape of my picture isn't a perfect square... The upper side is slightly round.
Also there like a 0.5cm border around my picture, so my entire screen isn't used.

The only option that removes the border and makes the picture a square is the zoom function in the nvidia panel, only problem is that it zooms too much so I can't see my taskbar anymore.

any suggestions?
I've tried fooling around with the advanced timing functions in the nvidia control panel but that didn't changed a bit.

Any suggestions? Or is this unsolvable.

There's no normal screen attached to it so theoretically I could set a non-windows resolution. (that's just a tought)

I've noticed that when I schedule a recording with the standard 1 minute prepadding, gbpvr drops off live tv at the correct time, changes the external channel and warns me if I try to restart live tv that its recoding on that card, I.E. all works fine and everything is happy.

However, if the impending recording is pre padded to say 5 minutes, gbpvr does not drop live tv at the expected time and doesnt change the extenal channel. The recording service does start to record on that card though, although its now recording the channel I was watching rather the the correct one. Ive also noticed that attemptng to cancel the now faulty recording from within gbpvr doesnt work. I have to restart the recording service and gbpvr to get everything back to normal.

Any ideas? It seems reproduceable so I'm guessing it a bug

is a tool that:

VidImport recurses a directory searching for video files (.mpeg, .mpg, .avi. .mpv, .ts, .mp4) and creates an xml file that gbpvr can import (on the config/plugin tab). It recurses all the way to the lowest level so nested directories are acceptable. It tries to intelligently use the directory name and any filename similarities to create the titles and subtitles so files are grouped in a useful manner by GBPVR/PVRx2. It also recognizes if an episode # of the syntax .SxxEyy. is built in the file name and uses that as subtitle if possible.

It will rebuild your recordings directory info (sans description) if you have lost or corrupted your database.

I want to drag'n'drop the gbpvr menu to Programs\Video&TV\GB-PVR but config.exe goes into a perpetual MSI repair loop trying to fix the menu.

Anyone know how to move gb-pvr's Start Menu entry without config attempting and failing to move it back to Programs\GB-PVR?

I think there may be a problem with the "recording-dump.xml" if a recorded program has asterix's in the name, say "M*A*S*H"

It seems it records fine as "MASH" but the recording does not appear in the xml dump.

I am running 1.2.9 but didn't see mention of this in the release notes for 1.2.13.

I've just reinstalled GBPVR and Video Archive due to a hard drive crash. GBPVR seems to be working fine, however I can't launch Video Archive. On the MVP it just reboots, and on the PC it just seems to hang. I've noticed these errors in the logs, but can't tell what's causing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Things were working flawlessly prior to the reinstall.

Hi,

My rotator controller is a Programmable Channel Master 9521A with remote.
I programmed the controller that when the number 58 is entered, to rotate to 310 degrees.

I tried setting haupblast in Edit recording source and holding the ir blaster that came with my hauppauge 1600 hvr to the channel master receiver.
From the Guide I choose the digital channel that was 58 (fox detroit) but nothing happened.

What am I missing?
