I added a 2nd Hauppauge PVR-500 MCE card to my setup, and unfortunately, only 1 Capture Source is working now. I get nothing but conflicts when entering a 2nd simultaneous record event.
Previously, I had 2 sources on the first card working fine.
In one section of the GBPVR website, it mentions setting 1 tuner to "PVR500" and the 2nd tuner to "PVR500 with FM Tuner". I assume this is -per card-, so therefore my dual setup -should- be:
I also tried setting them all to "PVR500", with Capture Devices set to 1,2 (2 tuners each Board), as well as 1,2,3,4 (one tuner per Board), and still no luck.
Ive got this nice quad mode card and cant get hardware acceleration in powercinema. But I cant get GB-PVT to work.
This is what happens:
I set it up as best I can.
I can find the channels in config.
When I map ERP I can see the little window and the channels seem to play roughly. So it is going to a degree.
HOWEVER....when I go in to the program itself to watch live TV it just freezes for a few seconds and takes me back to the main menu!!
How odd!!!

I came home from work to find that Windows had installed an important security update, and now PVRX2.exe and config both generate an error message without starting either ap. The details of the message refer to system.xml.xmlexception.
I've tried rolling back to a previous restore point, but it didn't change anything. Base on another post, I searched for any .net updates, and while I was at it, installed XP SP3. No joy.
Is anyone aware of any security updates that affect system.xml, and more to the point, how to fix it?
I just did a scan and there are multiple TV3 channels showing up. One had "(ac3)" in the label. I presume that this means that the stream is transmitted in ac3 audio rather than aac like the others right?
Anyway I tried recording a program and 1.2.13 has difficulty playing it back. Kept skipping parts. Assuming that its ac3, does anyone know where the ac3 settings are in GBPVR?
I am running GBPVR 1.2.13 with CS 3.2.1. In the recordings screen, the currently highlighted item is a dark blue background with black text. Its fine on the PC monitor, but basically unreadable on MVP from 10 feet away. Is there a way I can change the text color for the highlighted item to say white?
Is there anyway to detect and remove all of the "found" but blank qam channels?
I have comcast in Houston, and when I do a Scan in the Map Digi to EPG I end up with about a 3:1 ration of blank/black "found" channels to actual channels with video. I am sure some of them are encrypted, but I think CC is sending a "carrier" signal that is messing with the auto tuner. It is a major time pain in the tail to step through each channel every time they decide to swizle the line up.
I'm working on getting the DVB-T Radio plugin to work for client-mode GB-PVR machines...
With a gbpvr client using file sharing, I can use the UNC path for the root of the server's recordings folder (taken from the client's config.xml) then append the gbnetradio-X.mp3 filename and use PlayAudioFile() etc.
Am I right in thinking that with a streaming client, I need to pass a path to PlayAudioFile() which is actually local to the server?
At which point I need to add a remoting method to the DvbtrService running on the server, to allow the DvbtrClient to know what the server's 'local' recordings folder is???
