Since I upgraded the MVP server machine with 1.2.13 MVP goes back to TV Guide at the end of every program. Attached logs show an example of this at 22:20.

I had a look at the logs and it appears that TV is being recorded as .ts and transcoded for the MVP - I'm sure that it used to record as .mpg... My live TV buffer dir has .ts files going back to june 5th (when I upgraded) for all the programmes I've watched.

I just installed v1.2.13 on my new Dell XPS420 with Vista. I found in the forums that the web admin only works when selecting "Allow service to interact with desktop" in the GBPVR service. I need to run the service as a specific user to access my network resources, so I cannot select this option. What to do?

Have just installed GBPVR but whilst I get the audio from each station there are no pictures. PC is running Vista SP1 32 bit, graphics card is ATI Radeon HD3850. Any ideas where I should start looking?

I saw this problem noted in the release page but I couldn't find anything in the support page.

I just built a new machine and installed Windows XP SP2 and all the required programs for GBPVR and I'm having problems accessing the config page from within the client. It opens for a split second and the closes again. It's not a huge deal, I can still get to the config externally, but it would be nice to have it working.

Hi, just started looking at the Community Skin and I'm confused on versions to install. I have CS 3.2.1 but it says use SkinPlugin 3.2.1 with it but I can only find 3.2.0 to download (on the wiki). Any advice please before I try these versions? Thanks

One of the great things on the 780G motherboards is that they have built-in fan controllers. The CPU and system fan headers are four-pin, and use PWM -Pulse Width Modulation - to control the fan speed according to the temperature.
I did not even know of this feature when I ordered the mobo, and it was a complete flook that the CPU heatsink and fan I ordered was a 4-pin PWM model. PWM case fans allow you to daisy-chain upto five system fans from one header, so they all change speed with the temp. I think this is a great feature for HTPC's - at last your PC can be moved into the living room! I really cannot hear the PC when on, apart form the clicking of the hard drive. I have seen some people raise concerns though about using PWM to control speed, saying it may cause interference? Have not noticed any ill-effects yet though...

Okay new theme set time.

Based on some of the feedback from the forum this theme set will be all about choice. By my count there are over 300 new graphics (I even managed to include some purple stuff for Fatman_do's wife ). Most graphical options have several colour options and/or alternate graphics.

Included will be a couple of themes (screenies below) but there are lots of options so I'd like to encourage people to check out the "wave" folders.

Hopefully this set will be in the next CS plugin update.

I seem to have a problem which has arisen since the upgrade 1.2.13, I had started using the pvrx2 client a couple of weeks before the upgrade and it worked fine, since the upgrade, whenever I play a dixv file through the video library plugin it plays ok, but I am unable to pause or stop the recording via the remote, also when you attempt to use the skip buttons this changes the volume as the volume osd shows at the top of the screen.
Playing either dvr-ms or mpg2 recordings from the recordings panel works fine.
It doesnt look as though the divx codec is getting focus as was my first thought, and it has not been recently upgraded at all.

Anyone else getting this or have any ideas as to what could be causing it?, the remote is a hauppauge 45 button remote plugged into a Nova-T-500 card (it came with the card), it has been functioning for a while without any previous problems.

I have a box with firewire and I have it set up to change channels but not for recording (the video is fed through my HD-PVR).

Unfortunately, I missed a recording last night because i accidentally turned my STB off.

Is there a set of commands and a way to implement it in gbpvr to have GBPVRrecordingservice check to see if the STB is on and if it isn't turn it on via firewire?

i tried searching but didnt come up with a relevant topic.

i figure worst case scenario once everything is perfectly set up i can just block the IR receiver of the STB but for now I do need to switch over watching television directly from the STB when i am not testing.
