If possible I would love to see the option to auto skip commercials but on a per MVP configuration... Because I like the auto skip feature, but others in my house that use other MVPs in the house don't.

It allows you to schedule rule based recordings, and use (among others) GB-Pvr to record them ! check it out !

thought I'd start a new thread as much has been happening with the launch of Freesat and I'm beginning to find it hard to to find where we're at in the Forum....

It doesn't appear like we can get a crafty EPG off the satellite at the moment, if we can let me know. Otherwise Alan Birtles excellent XMLTV Gui:

seems to be the way to go, for now, well at least to me. Personally I find more stock in the XMLTV Data than the EPG broadcast but that's me and you disagree as you choose

I have found how to fill the gaps. No, Radio Times does not list all channels but there is a workaround that currently costs £9.99 a year and I've only made it work with Birtles, for now I can't advertise it as want to keep quiet but you could always PM, if you're interested?

Please don't ask me any questions about Hi Def at the moment, not bothered :p Want to get SD sorted first.

As per same previous thread as last given above, I'm still not getting More 4 or E4 on a scan but strangely enough More 4 +1 and E4 + 1 scan, lock and play. If anyone could help me with uploading files either to an FTP or WebServer as per this thread:

Since upgrading I've noticed that these items (and maybe Restart and Shutdown as well?) on the System screen seem to exit GBPVR as opposed to performing the indicated function.

I just bought a new Toshiba laptop with 1 gb memory. I bought a new 1gb memory to bring it to 2gb. Before I opened the package, I noticed that it's a PC2-5300 DDR2. The computer has PC-5300.
Question: Can I use the PC2-5300 along with the PC-5300?

Ok - trying to use http://www.getmiro.com/ - miro - as my "web video rss downloader" and then use gbpvr's "videos" function to view the videos by pointing the config dir at the download dir for miro...

Miro downloads videos, check.

Video plays back fine, but no audio.

All of them play back with audio *within* miro, so they contain audio. Just have to convince gbpvr to play em back with audio. Any thoughts?

Any pointers on how I might get that going would be appreciated.

More info - vlc plays them, windows media player has no audio (ah... yep) - on the mp4s the audio channel is mp4a

I am very new to GB-PVR and trying to get things working the way I want!

I can get burndvdx2 to start if I am using the default blue skin but when I change to community 3 burndvdx2 will not start.

Any idea what I need to look at.

BTW - searchwiz2 will not start either - but I do not think that will start under blue.
