Just want to say thanks for all the great work you have been doing in getting GBPVR onto the NMT gadget. I got my box a couple of weeks ago and everything works a treat.
I have had it up to here with MythTV....the newest 8.04 kernel and the 0.21 version of it keeps crashing and I mean hard lockups. So I thought I would use GBPVR for a while but had a couple of questions....
Can you use GBPVR like frontends and backends?
Scenario:
Main computer has the tuner cards and hooked to a TV. (living room)
Lesser powered "satellite" or "frontend" computer using one of those card from the main computer and streaming it.
Can this be done in a non linux world? Can GBPVR interface with Vista MCE?

I extracted the schedulesdirect utilities to my GBPVR folder, setup the PostUpdateEPG.bat script. Then when I try to run it I get the following error:

I get the "no signal" message and a black screen, no sound in Live TV. The signal strength is zero but the signal quality is high. My LiteOn dvb-t usb stick is a recognized capure source and the digital channel mapping results in the same channels as can be viewed by the Savvy firmware that comes with the dvb-t card.
I tried installing the Cyberlink MpgMux VERSION: 5.0.1307 and adding an entry in the bda.ini file specific for my LiteOn dvb-t stick with no change.
We've had a Polaroid standalone DVR for a year or so now and have just loved it, but it's got some short comings so I took the plunge and built a HTPC last weekend. I got as far as software loading and ran out of time and I've been on overtime all this week so I wont get back to this till later today.
I wanted to try MythTV but I'm not familiar with Linux and my job has been requiring a lot of overtime lately so I don't have much free time to devote to software playing. I thought about KnoppMyth but the new version of MythTV has been out for two and half months and they still don't have a new installer out for it and the idea of having to wait every time a new version comes out isn't very appealing.
I have a spare copy of Windows XP Pro available so I thought I'd load Windows today and then look around and see what's available on the Windows platform and GBPVR popped right up!
As I said, my time is a bit short these days so I thought I'd post the specs of the system and see if anyone has any tips that may save me some time.
HTPC system:
*) Motherboard - Asus M2NPV-VM
*) CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ with the 65nm core
*) Memory - 2 gigs Kingston DDR2 800 mhz
*) Hard drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3750330AS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

*) Tuner card - Gateway OEM PVR-150, came with an usb ir receiver / blaster unit and remote (I do plan on adding another tuner card or two, I just came across that one cheap)
*) Case - Antec NSK-2480
*) Operating system - Windows XP Pro SP2
TV it's hooked to:
*) Nothing special! Just an old Toshiba 27" CRT unit. No immediate plans for an upgrade, but you never know if someone runs a special. It has composite inputs and a SVHS input so I planned on using the SVHS.
As I said, I'm going to load Windows today. After that I thought I'd load GBPVR - any tips?
*) Should I use the drivers from the mother board CD or are there better ones out there for this motherboard?
*) I see there are some "time stamp" issues with the PVR-150s? Are the drivers from the Haupaugge web site OK (i.e. have they addressed this issue and released newer drivers?) or do I need to load alternate drivers? If so, which ones?
*) We would like to use this as a DVR and also play DVDs from it, anything special that needs done for DVD playback?
*) Loading a MAME game player might be fun, are there any other "must have" plug ins I should look at?

Have used the above for yonks with various other Video progs & have spent two days solid trying to get it to work with the new version of GBPVR which I have just discovered. Have created new bda.inf (see my post in documentation), collected EPG info - all is well until I attempt to Map the digital channels to EPG, each time exhibits Windows error and c---s out.
How can I scan the channels? Manually? With an edit prog?

I am getting the error below, this I belive is because of the backtick in the filename. how are people dealing with SQL when the string you want to store has a backtick?

I have 2 LCD monitors plugged into my video card. When I right-click on desktop, choose Properties, click Settings tab, then Identify button, it shows 2 on the monitor that I use as my main monitor (because it's plugged into the top DVI port on the video card). However, I dragged monitor 2 to the left side so that when I move the mouse to the right edge, the mouse appears at the left edge of monitor 1. I also selected Monitor 1 as "Use this device as the primary monitor", and Monitor 2 "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".
I believe GB-PVR config is looking only at Monitor #, and not which one is selected as the primary monitor. I worked around this by changing config to uncheck "start on second monitor".
