Everytime I either manually schedule a program to record or try to do it from the guide...I get a "Tuner is not available at the specified time" when clearly it is. Why am I having this issue?
While watching live TV with Kodi 19.3 I found that when viewing "Player process info" the player was using SW decoding instead of HW decoding for the video stream on an HD channel (1280x720). Only a channel with a video stream of 1920x1080 was HW decoded. I found that Kodi 18.9 loaded on the same device always used HW decoding, even SD channels would be HW decoded.
After some comparison of the userdata files in the kodi folder, I discovered that in the file "decoderfilter.xml" the settings for mpeg2 were different. This line "<min-height>0</min-height>" was changed to "<min-height>720</min-height>" in Kodi 19 and up. Changing this line back to "<min-height>0</min-height>" caused HW decoding to be used for all live TV video streams.
So, my question is were those settings changed for a reason in "decoderfilter.xml" ? Also, is it ok to modify the settings so that I always get HW decoding when watching TV or will it mess up something else?
Looking for some support around the Record Series function.
See the image below for the Guide.
I select the "Today" show at 06:00 - 09:00, followed by Record Series.
However only the "Today" show at 05:29 - 06:00 is now red. This is also confirmed in the Scheduler.
The only way I can get NextPVR to record the "Today" show at 06:00 - 09:00 is to select "Record Once". I am not sure why Record Series (including Add Manual Recording using Keyword -> Title) won't pick up this show timeslot.
I wanted to update my install so I ran the latest installer 5.2.2.211017 a week ago. I can't record, watch live, watch old recordings anymore. I had something like 5.1 from 2/11/20215.2.2.211017 .
Is there any way to add another user aside from admin to the web interface where they could only use it to look at the guide, watch stuff, record, but NOT configure the server or tuners etc.?

Hi,
I am based in UK and using nextPVR with 2 HD Homeruns (each with Quad Tuners) and a Kodi Front-End. My channels get their EPG from DVB/ATSC EPG and to all intents and purposes this works fine except I do not get EPG for one particular Channel (5SELECT) - I can watch the Channel no problem just don't have EPG for it.
I have checked the HD Homerun directly using their own App and that shows EPG for the Channel; I have also checked both the Web and Desktop Apps of nextPVR but neither of those have any EPG Information for this Channel either (although again all other Channels have up to date EPG).
I done a quick scan of the Log files and found something which suggests it is picking up the EPG (FYI I have Auto Update EPG set to run at 2:44:00):
There were a few missing show art on the web client to I emptied the media shows folder and let it re-populate. Later I noticed that the artwork for The World Series showed the same thing as the recorded movie next to it. Attached is the Recordings page and also what the World series pending recording looked like.
Roku users need to raise some complaints on the Roku forum. Without any published or reason warning (and any notice to me as a developer) I noticed that Roku is stopping private channels in March 2022. The FAQ says to move to a new development IDK platform but my observation is very few devices support the IDK including the TV devices so I have no reason to follow that direction.
When I check my NextPVR channel I see this Expiry Date: Feb 23, 2022 (112 days left) so the clock is ticking.
The GUI used by NextPVR clearly does not meet the Roku Look & Feel criteria required for certification however after my next update I suppose I will probably try but I have a very low expectation of success.
According to the guide, I should see "DVB/ATSC EPG" as a source option for my device, but what I see doesn't match the screenshot in the guide. I don't see "DVB/ATSC EPG" as an option in the dropdown list at all. My only options are:
None
Freesat (UK)
...Add Schedules Direct Lineup...
...Add XMLTV Lineup...
However, if I go to "Settings/Guide" I do see "DVB/ATSC EPG" with an option to change scanning frequency.
And if I go to "Settings/Channels/Advanced Tools/Auto Map" I do see "DVB/ATSC EPG"in the EPG Source dropdown.
If I go to Settings and click "Update EPG" it appears to start a scanning process that takes a few minutes, but ultimately it ends with a "EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]" message.
