I am in the process of putting together a Media Centre based upon GBPVR, I have seen the spec' for the Blackgold BGT-3500 tuner card which has, amongst other things, an analog, (component) input.
The spec seems to indicate that the component input will be encoded to MPEG-2 by an on board hardware encoder.
Whilst this card is not listed in the 'capture card' list, Do you consider that it could be used by GBPVR?
Also, if the card is suitable, do you consider that the remote control sold by the same company, would be compatible with GBPVR usa as well?
Problem : Normal epg except no details for bbc1 bbc2 bbc3
Self help : Complete EPG reload unchecked. EPG harvest time increased in config.xml (<DvbEpgHarvestDuration>240</DvbEpgHarvestDuration>). Multiple cycles of 'Update EPG' from the 'System' screen.
I've read all the other relevant posts but can't identify any further ideas. Suggestions please.
I have Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP Expert card installed,
Which is working perfectally while using WinFast PVR.
(The software that came within the card kit),
Which allow be to watch TV at my computer, and also record tv shows to my hard drive.
I've installed GB-PVR (version 1.2.9),
Which doesn't recognize my tv card (WinFast).
I'm adding "Capture Source", click on "Settings" next to "Recording Source",
Mark the "Only show deviced detected to this machine"
And I'm getting the following error :
"No known cards detected on this machine"
(I've tryied all the "Recording Source" options)
Does anyone know why ?

In preparation for playing with PCH I bumped the nr of MVP servers to 2 so that I can continue using the main MVP and also the PCH.
I find when doing this that turning the MVP "on" (from standby) the "connecting to servers" takes about 5 minutes to connect.
With servers set to 1, it is much quicker, about 10 seconds.
Sorry, no logs at present - logging to 'error' to locate news ticker hickups and MVP in use by others for a few hours.
I have been reading through the forum for a while but there is so much information and I am not sure what is causing my problem so dont really know what to search for so please excuse me if the answer to this is already posted elsewhere.
I have the mediamvp box. All working nicely apart from the picture recieved seems to be too big for my TV. The menus are perfect but anything I stream to the box doesnt get shown properly.
I have a Philips 28" CRT TV. I am guessing that about 15% of the pic is offscreen to the left and another 15% to the right. I also seem to be missing a little bit vertically too. The same problem occurs whether the software is set to 4:3 or 16:9. If I change the TV settings the pic is the same but the size just gets modified.
Hope I have explained whats happening.
If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate your help.

I currenly have analog cable and the Hauppauge PVR-150 and all works great. I do however wish to upgrade to FIOS, but I'm not sure if it's practical to use the PVR-150 with the Motorola box. Has anyone done this before and could explain how to get started and what I'll need to make this work
After a long while working with the installation thread and other searches I've finally gotten the GBPVR to work with my PCH.
I suggest you add this info to the first post:
...Then you will add a section to your config.xml file which describes your own popcorn hour player and its video settings like so...

You must find out what your PCH player's MAC internet ID number is and change the blue text (both the opening and closing tags) as in this example (your number will be different) <MAC-00642DB89> .

I worked trying to get the menu to return after playing any media and it never would until I made this simple change.
I have two PVR systems, one built in the last 3 weeks which has a pair of HVR-1600s and another which was built several years ago which now has a pair of PVR-250s. Both systems run XP Pro SP2 with nvidia video cards.
The system with the two 250s was upgraded to XP from Win2K about 3 months ago. It has dual Tulatin 1.4 procs with 1.5GB RAM (refered to as pellinore). The system with the 2 1600s has a core 2 duo 4700 with 2 GB RAM (refered to as gawain). Both computers are members of a Win2000 AD domain. The logon each system uses (the same one) is a domain user account but in the local admin group for each of the two systems.
Gawain had a very easy setup and no issues configuring. I liked GBPVR so much that I orderd a second 1600 so I could have two dual tuner systems, moving its 250 into Pellinore. I have run the setup on Pellinore many times - have run passive and with logging and installed the Visual C++ runtimes several times now, as well as .net 2.0 install repair tool from MS. To my knowledge, the applications installed on both systems are the same. I have no preexisting install of GBPVR on this system and most of the posts regarding fatal error in install here seem to deal with conflicts with previous installs or Vista. I'm at my wits end as far as what might be the issue here - any ideas?

Running a Hauppauge 150. GBPVR works fine. When I run PVRX2 the window opens but nothing shows within it. it does not hang as I can close the window. Also hear no audio.
I see 20 some logs. Which ones would help you troubleshoot?
