I keep getting the same error in my logs when recording using ym Winfast PVR2000. The recording still goes ahead, but doesn't seem to lokk as good as it did (maybe it's my eyes)

So I finally took some time and got this working. I had it working in the past, but would drop to the PCH menu when I tried to play a video.
Now everything is working, except I have to sort my overscan, which shouldn't be a problem, Thanks for all of the work that has been put into this to Martin & Sub.

However, the main menu shows some corruption, and as I scroll through the menu, it shifts to the right as per the attached pic. Am I able to use the comunity3 skin with the PCH?
The menu image on the left stays as TV Guide, but the right side one scrolls as per usual.

This isn't so noticable when in video library etc, but can still see it.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
I am using the the 720 & command in startmeup, and PCH is set to 720p/50 over HDMI. (actually I guess I should match those 2 freqs)

Now I can't run any GBPVR apps without it crashing (encountered a problem and needs to close etc etc)

I edited the file with wordpad. Figured wordpad did something stupid.. or maybe it was just me since I didn't make a backup first :o and it was murphys law.

How can I fix it??

I want to set up my laptop to run as client on the home network, but would also like it to be able to run gbpvr while away from home.

I would love to be able to use the netflix plugin and dvd player anywhere I want.

is this possible??

I haven't gotten anything to playback in gbpvr yet, though things do play well in the PCH natively.

I'm posting a snippet from the logs showing the socket error I'm getting. In this case the audio continued to play but no video. In fact the PCH when back to it's media source screen.

When adjusting the output sizes in the analog recording settings between 720, 480, 352, and 320 pixels between recordings, why is their no discernible difference in recorded size? Is the output size completely controlled by the hardware encoding in my hauppauge 1800 thus bypassing the sizes and if so can it be changed through registry changes? Changing the bitrates has discernible effects on recording quality but the sizes never seem to change.

I have searched this forum with no result.

I have a DNTV Dual Hybrid Tuner S2 card with dual digital tuners that is recognized by GBPVR just fine and both tuners seem to work.

The problem is that when I scan for channels, it finds every channel in my area (ABC, SBS, 7, 10) except channel 9. I know I have a good signal, all other channels get a strength of around 70 and signal of 100.

There was some basic software "hypermediacenter" that came with my card that scans all channels in fine.

What reason could there be for GBPVR missing a channel?

The other thing is that some channels display very badly. There seems to be a double picture displayed that flickers but I am sure this is a codec issue somehow.

Any hints would be great.

I'm trying to get my PCH and gbpvr running in 1080i mode but not without much success.

I have the following line in startmeup:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080 &

I've upgraded to 1.2.9 after not having moved away from 0.99.12 for a long time.
I can't seem to make fast-forward work. It only skips. This is one feature that my wife holds very dear. We get a lot of programs with subtitles, and this allows her to watch shows in 1/2 the time (whew!). Still, CTRL-F and even the on-screen controls with the mouse just seem to skip forward.

Second, is there a skin that doesn't have the "feature" of highlighting by changing font-size of the highlighted words? This is so annoying to our eyes. Can I cancel this?

Last thing - the fonts went so small - can someone help me change that? The wife says she can't read the TV guide, or recordings list.
