I pre-ordered this as soon as the option was available - they were supposed to start shipping on 5/1, but I haven't heard anything.

I recently stumbled over a weird problem:

I'm able to skip forward and backwards in .mpg - files just fine, but can't do so in .ts - files. Both files are recordings.
What is more, PVRX2 won't respond any more after pressing the skip-button during replay of a .ts - file and has to be killed via the task manager.
PVRX2 doesn't freeze though, but seems to keep on running.
Any ideas ?

I'm using NVidia Purevideo on VMR9 FSE at the moment, but it gives problems with DVD navigation on EVR under XP.

What do people think is the best video codec for EVR under XP (not Vista), for the smoothest playback on an NVidia card (7300GT DDR3)?

Pentium 4, 3.2 GHz
2 GB RAM, Win XP pro (clean install)

The images displayed on the CRT analog TV are noticebly dull ,and lack the highlights and dynamic range of the direct antenna connection.

Have dorked with NVIDIA settings to no avail.

Is this symptomatic of computer output to the TV, or is there something I can do to improve things?

Is anyone running more than one USB DVB card? I just bought a Twinhan DVBWorld USB adaptor and am wondering I could purchase a second one and use this in GBPVR too?

The video output onto my TV screen is enlarged and I could not adjusted it back to within the screen of my TV. When I tried to resize, the picture itself is actually cropped off. Since it's a CRT TV, I can only set the resolution to 480i. The setting on GBPVR is set to 4:3 and so is the STB. Could not figure out what is causing the picture to turn out this way.

Has anyone seen this problem and had resolved it before?

I just realized that it is slightly possible that my woes with playback on the 780g chipset may be Vista vs XP related. I haven't gone Vista due to some of my friends experiences with it, specifically with file transfer taking too long. I am very network heavy on my LAN and I cannot afford any issues with this even from my HTPCs.

However, I am curious to see how many people are running their setup on Vista vs XP. Also, I am curious if people have run both and seen any major improvements or disappointments between one or the other when it comes to GB-PVR playback or experience.

so... I just got around to upgrading to the latest version (I know, its sad how long it takes me now ) and it looks like the install did something, because my system that was sleeping perfectly before is now waking itself up instantly!! it sits there idle fine, and when its sleep timer kicks, it trys to go to sleep, shuts down and everything. THEN it wakes itself up, about 3 seconds later O_o.

This MyCinema U3000 tuner used to work fine but I tried it again today after a couple of weeks and I keep getting an error popup every time I try to use it. The error box says "An error occured (sic) during playing the AVI file: The data is invalid (0xd)". I have to kill it from Task Mgr.

The logs concern a config source digital mapping attempt around 2232.
