I've noticed lately that some new recordings are not making it into the What's New list. I recorded My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office, and ER. Only My Name is Earl and 30 Rock were in the list.

What do you folk do when your recordings hard disk gets full?

I have a 500GB disk that has about 30GB left on it, and decreasing rapidly. Obviously I don't watch stuff as fast as I record, so one option is don't record it.
Some stuff I have watched and I am looking for a nice way to move it to the video library which is on another (almost empty) disk.
The other option is to transcode it to something smaller - I was avoiding this as most of it is transitory and will get deleted and the rest made into DVDs, so multiple transcoding is best avoided.

I beleive that PVRX2 can't have multiple recordings disks, is that correct?
If it can how. I have read another thread about seamless mounting one disk from another - anyone doing that? what is the required software?

Thanks for any help you can give - I will need to sort it soon as I removed the wifes recurring recording of CSI to prevent the disk filling up!! :eek:

A friend of mine has also bought the PCH, but in stead of using it on a widescreen SD TV like me (boohoo), he's got a nice big plasma screen from Panasonic. The strange thing for me is that this TV has a native resolution of 1024 x 768, but it's definitely a widescreen. He's tried several settings but can't get the GBPVR gui to appear fullscreen. I've got a Hauppauge USB2 TV-Tuner card. I have the grey notched cable plugged into the spot in the front near where it says "Blaster Out". I am skeptical this is where the remote should plug in, but I can't find any other spot and the manual doesn't have pictures. The board doesn't seem to accept remote input. I installed HIP just to see and HIP was not receiving input either from the remote (working batteries; tested on another device) or another remote which is known to work. Am I missing something? Is there a good guide to setting up this remote under GBPVR (I never tried the Hauppauge software, so I don't know if the remote works)?

I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2. I have the TV coming in through a coaxial cable in the back, and I want to get some media off component cable. I have the video and audio coming in through the component cables in the front, but I can't figure out how to get GBPVR to switch to the auxillary input. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S., love the program. The new build is pretty awesome (just got it recently).

Well I finally have. Using PiMPStreamer (Version 1) its finally possible.

Requires a "non standard" PSP firmware (mine is 3.40) and can be downloaded from http://www.pimpware.org/?page_id=26

I've just been watching recordings, downloaded program etc all via my wireless on my PSP. Great!!

Whenever I run GB-PVR and try to go to the guide or watch live TV, it tells me that no channels are set up. It tells me to run the Configuration Utility and setup the EPG source, and to use the update EPG button to force the update. When I run the configuration utility and go to Capure Sources and click edit for my main source, the EPG source is XMLTV Plugin. I used YApi2XML to configure the EPG. There are clearly a bunch of channels at the bottom of this configuration box, all of which are enabled. I've clicked on Update EPG and it tells me that it is updated. I then click OK twice to exit the configuration. However, if I run GB-PVR.exe I get the same message. If I try to run PVRX2, go to TV Guide, I can see all the listings. However, when I click on one listing and press enter and then choose watch, the window goes black momentarily and then returns to the guide (I don't hear or see any video). Can anybody help me out with this problem?

I'm running Windows Vista Business Edition and my tuner is an HP Expresscard TV Tuner PCMCIA (using a Hauppauge tuner in it).

EDIT: When I try to Update EPG from GB-PVR itself, it just says "Initializing EPG Update" under "Version:" and then this text goes away and it seems nothing happens (or at least the error remains). Running the Tuning Assistant finds all of these channels as well, but when I run GB-PVR I still get the same error....

When I try to use the web admin, my browser just shows:

"Server Error in '/gbpvr/'

404 Not Found

Any idea what is going on?

I am new here. Please forgive me if this question has been asked before - i have not yet found my answer in the forum.
How do I add an iten to the menu? I am using Blue Menu. I have enabled FM Radio in config but it does not appear as a menu item. How do I add or change menu items?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I just interrupted a recording by using 'Restart Recording Service' option from the right-click on the GBPVR systray icon.

As I remember it, if I make changes in Config and click OK, it warns there is a recording in progress before it restarts the service. It would be useful, if possible, to have a similar warning. I think this could also apply to the 'Stop Recording Service' option from the systray app.
