Seems like the sort of question that must have been asked before, I have searched to no avail.
Using the Freeview broadcasted EPG, how can I get channel images to show up in the EPG display?
I guess I have to download relevant images of the 'net and then place them somewhere with appropriate filenames, just don't know the details.
I finally got around to installing skin plugin and community skin..WOW, I didn't know what I was missing!
My question pertains to TV Listing while in community skin. Using the regular dull blue skin, TV Listing shows an icon for the channel logo when available but when not, it will show the station name (like NBCHD or whatever). I don't see that happening with CS (no letters, logo ok though). I tried to change TV Guide format, but that didn't do anything. It seems that's probably geared to the actual TV Guide and the listings alternative plugin.
GBPVR 1.2.9 currently works well for me using a HVR3000 and Freeview DVB-S.
I'm thinking of switching over to HD and just did a 15 min manual recording to try out DVB-T. The logs didn't show any errors. I was even watching a playback of the beginning during the recording. I also tried watching a DVB-S channel and it came back with a no tuner error as expected during the recording.
However at the end of the recording, the .ts file contained only 3 mins of video!
I'm struggling to find what happened to the rest of the recording as there are no indication of errors in the logs. Any ideas anyone?
Okay so I pulled my media centre to pieces to find I have the s plus rather than the s, so i thought yippee off to the hauppauge webiste to download the latest driver from the support page, install and go ... nope same problem ... delete scan caches ... nope same problem
What driver do i need to make this work? does anyone have a link? Have I completely missed something?
Is anyone using the s-plus successfully? do I just save my pennies and try to get a 4000 in the next 3 to 4 months?
I am looking for a site that covers most if not all the popular consolse that would be suitable for scraping game reviews/screenshots etc from, if anyone know of emulator front ends that do this that could also be a help.

I've been looking into getting an account with one of the online file backup sites. My main usage will be to backup my photos and other docs, and quite importantly all my code projects including GB-PVR plugins. Secondary usage will be filesharing with family so a guest login / access feature would be nice. Easy upload of lots of files/folders is also required.
Looked at iDrive and SkyDrive so far but they seem to be geared for individual file uploads (5gb iDrive uploaded individually... :eek

I have been using MVPServerchecker 0.46 for a while to kill the MVP Controller popup window and to raise the priority of the GUI. (Although my problems as such are with PVRX2 (which keeps crashing) so I am not sure if I need to ?) But my problem is that Mvpserverchecker does not start automatically. I have put a shortcut in my Startup folder and kept the original in the /devnz/GBPVR/MVPSC folder. As per the Wiki I made sure the GBPVR recording service can interact with the desktop. But at startup the server popup window stays open until I start MVPSC manually by double clicking on it.
I am using GBPVR 1.2.9 and have just upgraded to MVPSC 0.51 with similar results.

I want to record video from the svideo input of an ATI 550 theater pro using gbpvr.
How do I configure gbpvr to select the svideo source. Preview and recording of Livetv analog works fine but I have not found how to select the composite or svideo source of the card.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Several commercial software PVR products FAILED to function at all, while gbpvr installed and worked with the most reliability out of the long list that I attempted. Thanks to all that contributed to this program.

I've been having a small problem with EWA/GBPVR and am hoping for some pointers. I would like to record a copy of the 12:00 news every day, in the event that I have time to watch it in the evening. In a previous thread here I learned that I have to use a manual recording because every 30 mins the show is repeated, with the same title, so setting up a recording of the named show with a specific time slot results in 3 consecutinve shows being recorded. Since it's only the most recent showing that I'm interested in, I'd like to keep just 1 copy, although 2 would be fine too. I have repeatedly tried to do this through EWA but GBPVR keeps adding recordings to the folder, never deleting the old ones. Is there anything different about a manual recording that would cause this problem?
