Blank screen when playing back some shows

This only seems to occur with two cartoons that I record for my kids.

When I select play, the "buffering" logo will flash on the screen for a split second and I have to press the power button to get back to the main screen & start up gb-pvr again. Sometimes I have to unplug the unit.

This only occurs with two shows ("Tom & Jerry" & "Max & Ruby") but it happens with every episode of those shows. How do I determine if the problem lies in the device or in GB-PVR? I looked in MVP-PVRX2.exe.log, and the only reference I see to the show being requested is when I switched back to the MediaMVP (I'm glad I left it hooked up or my kids would have rioted ).

You didn't provide all the logs so I don't see the short name, but if I had to guess the problem is because you have an ampersand & in the title. Sub and I are still working out how we exchange characters that are unsafe.

Edit I did a test and it is not the &. Please upload a set of logs that shows the start of file being played. Maybe the shortname isn't really a valid shortname.

I tried to play a Tom & Jerry episode two times - once at 23:09 and 30 seconds or so - it flickered breifly and kicked me back to the recordings menu. I tried to play another one at 23:10 (just about on the nose) and the PCH hung.

You'll need to temporarily set you MVP server count to '1', then reproduce the problem on your PCH, then zip and attach the MVP-PVRX2.exe.log file.

You probably have the MVP on. Restart your recording service and then connect with the PCH and then try one of the problem files.

Edit sub is too fast isn't he?

Should I turn both MVP's off & only connect the PCH to try?

I will interested in the logs because I do special case the space and ampersand now just in case they came up.
