Hello, first time trying NextPVR. Perhaps it is due to the fact that my Ubuntu PVR is too old, but I am receiving this error when trying to install NextPVR
Code:
sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends

Is the issue that my Ubuntu version is too old or is it that there is an issue with the current installer?
The title is fairly self-explanatory. The box is unchecked. Nextpvr has stopped recording duplicates. Posting so, if there is a problem, it can be identified, tweaked and avoided in future,
I'm on the way to replay my old VUDUO recorder with a RPI4 + Hauppauge WinTV DualHD am NextPVR.
I'v tried two ways with apparently same problem:
1. Kodi / Libreelec Distribution and Docker NextPVR
2. Raspberry PI OS (fresh installation yesterday with RPI Installer) + NextPVR via deb-Install.
Devices are listet correctly
Scan is successful
EPG-Update works
BUT: I cannot see an tv stream. Everything keeps blank / black :-
I found an error in the logs with conf-file not accessible and copied it:
sudo cp adapter1-DVB-C-channels.conf adapter0-DVB-C-channels.conf
The initial error in the log is gone, but there is still no video to see :-((
Please help ... I've searched around a lot but have no ideas left.
My instance of NextPVR seems to utilise anywhere from 30-50% of my GPU constantly whilst watching live TV but hardly touches it when watching recordings.
It also seems to do the same when sat on the guide page (albeit not quite as high) with an increase in CPU utilisation too, at anywhere from 5-15% constantly, as you can see in the screenshot. I'm running it at 1920x1080, fullscreen, 16:9, TV Viewer with the default skin etc. No customisation basically.
My current build is as follows:
Windows 10 Pro x64
NPVR 5.2.0 (210912)
Intel i7-3770K
Nvidia GTX 970
16GB RAM
The problem has followed me across a graphics card update from a GTX460 to the current build as well as an NPVR upgrade to the current also.
I've attached screenshots of my system monitor for all three scenarios. I've tried selecting the alternative decoders, installing a codec pack and have tried to install the D3D pack you suggested in another thread (found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/de...laylang=en) which fails, suggesting that it has something newer already in place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a recent convert from MCE and am loving this app.
Many thanks in advance.

i'm searching into receiving signals from galaxy 19 and different satellites the usage of a raspberry pi and tvheadend. it looks as if all usb tuners for dvb-s2 are bought in europe. are there any alternatives for getting them inside the states (new or used)?appvalleytutuapptweakbox
question the use of nextpvr...just began using it as sooner or later pulled plug on home windows 7 and went to 10. it is running superb besides for one element... each time i tune a channel whether via the nextpvr consumer or via emby front cease it saves the whole viewing session as a recording which i then ought to go manually delete out of my media folder/hdd. is this a setting i am missing someplace? should not it clean up after itself except i explicitly tell it to file?TweakboxAppvalleyhttps://vlc.onl
Hi,
A couple of days ago, I upgraded from Windows NextPVR V4 to V5. V4 had been working well, but I thought it was about time I upgraded. The problem is, V5 is not working so great for me. All of the recordings I made on V4 play back on V5 no problem, but none of the recordings made since I upgraded to v5 will play. I select the series, then the episode and click 'Play' and nothing happens. I have noticed LOTS of repeated messages in the log about MetaData. A zip of the logs is attached.
I appreciate any help which can be given. In the meantime I may go back to V4 if this cannot be resolved easily.
I tried searching the above but found nothing. I had nlite working but now i get a 'no nextpvr server found on the network" error message. For the life on my I cannot tell why. can someone direct me into the right direction.
Thank you,
I am sure this is an elementary question, so please excuse me
The tray icon for NPVR auto-starts on my machine, but I would also like to have the desktop app auto-starting, as it did before, rather than having to go through the tray every time
How do I do this?
Regards
Steve
We've just gone into day-light savings here and the Current time yellow-line is not visible on the Web-Client TV Guide when the page is loaded.
The earliest time shown on the guide is the coming next hour (e.g current time 17:30, so the earliest time shown on the guide is 18:00).
It's not a big issue to scroll the guide to bring the time-line into view, but it's a change since DST has come in.
The programs are shown at the right time and recordings are working as expected.
The Desktop Client is fine - the current time indicator is visible with the guide is loaded.
I've just updated to the latest version-5.2.1.211003 and the problem is still there.
