i have a script for connecting to my firetv stick so that i can change the channels. is there anyway of running that automatically when nextpvr starts?
Is there a way to have nextpvr start recording again after a stream fails. Is rather a recording be broken into multiple files than for it to quit halfway through.
For some reason I can't watch more than a few minutes of live tv at a time through my Kodi client ad of today. I'm not aware of anything changing recently to cause this. Looks like its having an issue handling the tv buffer file but it seems to be running as system, who has full rights to this folder. Updating from last version to current and restarting the server made no difference. Running on Server 2019 core. No idea where to go from here, so any guidance is appreciated.

I purchased a Hauppauge Colossus 2 capture card and I'm now testing it.
NextPVR V4 has an "Advanced Settings" screen, what do the Video Encoder settings control exactly?
Profile
Level
Latency
My initial tests using the default settings produce very, very large .ts files.
I'm looking for options to reduce the video quality / file sizes.
Apologies if I've posted in the wrong forum. I'm running NextPVR on a Windows 10 computer.
I record the game show program "Supermarket Sweep". There is an "old" version of this program, c. 1990, that has "old" artwork, and a new version of the program with new, and different, artwork. I want to record both versions, and that's working fine, I get both, but the artwork for both is showing as "old". Is there any way to get "new" artwork assigned to the "new" version and "old" assigned to "old"?
I did a search on this topic and didn't find anything relevant.
I would like to add new backgrounds to the clients.
I would also gladly work on the development of any hooks needed to allow for this or any other simple user experience features I could. I have visual studio and know a variety of languages, it's just not my day job .
There was mention in another thread (https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=63081) about problems in v5 versus v4 but my issues started when I went from 5.2.0 (or perhaps 5.1.4, can't remember) to 5.2.1.
I am using the NPVR client on Windows 10 with an MCE remote and have updated LAV to 0.75.1.
The things I have noticed are:
1) When selecting a recording in "Ready Recordings", the pop-up window takes a while to appear.
2) When selecting "play" there is a delay before it starts.
3) Audio syncing is way out and takes quite a long time to sort itself out when playing a recording and video is choppy.
4) When pressing "skip" the screen freezes for several moments before moving on.
Prior to 5.2.1 the actions mentioned in 1, 2 and 4 were pretty instantaneous and the audio syncing only took a couple of seconds. 1 and 2 seem to only be with the first recording after the client is launched, subsequent ones are fine. The same files played with VLC do not show any of these behaviours.
Logs after reproducing all the above behaviours are attached but the delays did not seem so marked this time.
Any help/advice/suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks.
I have been using windows Media Center computer with windows 7 until recently. I used EPG123 to update my TV guides. I took the TV tuner card and installed it in my new Windows 10 computer. I installed NEXTPVR version 5.2.1. I noticed that the TV guides are limited. Can I use EPG123 to update my TV guide on NEXTPVR , if I can, how do I do that? or do I need to switch to Schedules Direct? I just renewed my subscription to EPG123 not that long ago.
