Like many folks I keep photos in Year/Month/Date subdirs but sometimes I want to play a slidshow from a month. Is there any way I can (or wishlist) playing not only photos in a dir, but also all subdirs, rathe rthan going into each dir seperately?
When I used the MVP last night, I pressed the blue button on the remote to show the OSD as I do often to check time of show left and skips etc., the MVP exited ungracefully on the Blue Button Press, repeatable every time.
I don't know what caused this, I can only think it is the patches I installed recently for the PCH as nothing else changed (apart from a MovieWiz Plugin update).
I attach logs, note that the time is 22:48 to around 22:5X on the 25th only. Her's a sample of MVP.exe log

I have two systems running GB-PVR with recordings on each and I'd like to merge them all into one of the boxes. My plan is to export the recording info on one system using the 'Export Recordings' in config, then copy all the recordings and the recording-dump.xml file from that system to the other system, then do an 'Import Recordings' on the target system. The recordings directories are named the same on both systems. Will that work? I'm assuming that the Import Recordings adds the info to the database rather than overlaying it all.
Attached are the logs you suggested I post from NetworkedMediaTank:
Quote:a. I've gotten a "video source" (fake-ATSC), Program Guide source (5 day trial of Schedules direct), No channel changer.
b. I then went to schedules direct and created an account, finally figured out how to add the video source coming into my house (subscribed lineups) and the channels I watch out of those.
c. Got GBPVR to download this channel info from SchedulesDirect into the database.
Well at least I can poke around and look at videos/pics/audio on my PC and use the "Search Guide" within the interface to see shows by alpha and brief descriptions...however for some reason the TV Guide (the grid) crashes the interface. Perhaps it wants to talk to the nonexistant recorder card.
I was hoping someone might point me in the right direction as I have had to go back to an old computer Pentium 4 1.8 - about 4 years old. PVRX2 will not run on it for display purposes due to the VMR9 issue which I have not looked at fixing yet - it is in the running processes so I guess the server is working regardless of the VMR9 issue (too many variables!)
Also the MVP will not find the computer/server. It will for all other machines on my network. It is not a firewall issue (i have got all the others to work with the same firewall/router) as the logs seem to contain the error but there is not enough in them to tell me where to look.
The core of the error is

I have attached the logs anyway.
Can someone tell me why this old machine with built in graphic card will not work anymore (it used to a few years ago) but I have done 10 fresh installs... kept the db3 and xml files (sometimes)
In the UK with A Nova-T500, works perfectly, however i cannot seem to view UKTV Gold. Every other channel is fine, it's found on the channel scan, and added. EPG is spot on for it, but when i try to view it just a black screen.
Relevant Info:
Directv HD-DVR via s-video
WinTV 150-PVR (with IR blaster)
At times I want to record things to the PC that I have recorded on my DVR. The way I've been doing this is as follows:
1) Manually schedule a recording in GB-PVR (start time, end time, channel)
2) Wait for the recording time to start and have GB-PVR blast out the channel change
3) Go into the DVR recorded shows, select the show and press play.
I was wondering if there was any "don't change the channel, just start recording now and don't stop until I tell you to" button/command?
I envision in addition to my HDTV set up, having a small LCD monitor hanging on the wall nearby. I think it would be really sweet to be able to have the EPG on that screen while watching TV on the HDTV or use it for PIP, or have audio visualization on one screen with the Album cover art and information on the other. Or possibly the secondary screen on the wall can be an LCD picture frame when not specifically in use. I can see all sorts of different possibilities for this kind of set up. Anybody else see how neat this would be?
I found (actually one of my kids stumbled into it) that the EWA exception listed below occurs when the "Episode Search" tab is selected and then the <ENTER> key is pressed without first entering any search data into the fields on the webpage. This problem is reproducible every time on my system. The below information is the only error data I have; nothing unusual appears in the logs. I'm running v1.2.9 with the build 74 version of EWA, and I'm accessing the EWA interface using an IE7 browser.
Hopefully this problem can be isolated and resolved.
Thanks

Hi, by chance sub was good enough to show me a popcorn hour running over the weekend, and I must say I was impressed but the responsiveness of it, and the look of the HD content he had.
While demoing it, he did point out the differences to the MVP, and all in all it seemed like a good way of doing things (passing the video off the to the PCH to deal with natively rather than make pvrx2 control it as happens on the mvp).
The only thing wrong I see with this scenario is the lack of OSD, and possible the lack of access to the tv guide.
Now the OSD is not so bad, potentially with buy in from the manufacturer (or firmware producer), the episode information could come from somewhere else to be displayed (some .txt file, or xml file etc).
Of bigger problem to the WAF is the ability to look around the tv guide while inside a program, you see an ad for an upcoming show and decide to record it. Having to stop playback to go and record this from the guide would become annoying.
Do we know if it might be possible to inset the window (eg as gbpvr did before pvrx2 came on the scene) - so that control could be given back to pvrx2 and have access to the menus?
This is just my thoughts and in now way am I criticising the work that has already been done with this great little device...
