I loaded up UbuRadio (I'm running PVRX2 version 1.2.9? is that right the latest one anyway).
couple of questions.
1.
I added realplayer and vlc (videoLAN). Are these actually required or optional? I already have WMP11 (XP pro).
2.
The problem is that I do not get the Web Radio menu item.
It appears in the config ok but not in PVRX2 menu.
I'm using GBPVR with my Happauge HVR-1800 to record shows of analogue cable. For some reason I can't figure, after a 1/2 hour or so of recording the sound cuts out. Are there any instances of this occuring with other setups? I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi gamer in the system too. So, either it's the software, the tv tuner card or the sound card. If I put the computer on standby and wake it up and launch GBPVR, the sound is good again. Anyone have this problem and fix it?
i have this error message in the logs of pvrx2 and most (but not all) channels no longer display epg data in the tv guide (pushing the blue button while watching brings up the info)).
in the old GUI, there are no errors and the guide works normally
the exact error in the logs:
Code:
2008-03-26 22:37:12.878 ERROR [5] unexpected error loading channel listings: System.ArgumentException: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '90' Key being added: '90'

at GBPVRX2.xb654004a5183e7df.x1e925a3c490d31f1()
the error keeps repeating several times in the logs.
i already tried to check/remove unreferenced channels and cancelled all scheduled recordings with no effect.
i use XMLTV for my epg source which is ok tv_grab_ch_search (my own grabber. tv_validate_grabber claims the resulting file to be ok and prefectly valid)
I find it's good to reboot the system from time to time. but I don't want to let windows handle the reboot, because GBPVR may be recording.
I'd like to have a setting in GBPVR that you can say, reboot at 1AM Saturday morning, and have GBPVR reboot the system at that time, or at the soonest available time after if it's recording.
So, let's say I'm recording from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM, it would reboot after that.
I think I found the answer to this in an old thread (the answer being 'no'), but how much event information can be put out by gbpvr?
All I'm trying to do is put out a text file indicating the current video playing or current song (the song would be icing on the cake, but I really want the video) to a text file for use with LCD smartie for a VFD display.
I'm not really interested in anything like next recording or anything. I couldn't get the iMon plugin to work either, but it's overkill for what I want.
Since comskip won't work w/ NMT (I assume this is because it uses the NMT's playback instead of GBPVR's), does the NMT do any sort of skipping (30 second skip, skip ahead x minutes in the file, etc) or do you just have to use FF & Rewind?
